Design courses in DePaul university will appeal to hands-on, tangible learners who will complete the program with a significant portfolio that reflects their potential. The IRL and IRL2 are student-driven makerspaces that encourage the pursuit of thinking through making. Students have many opportunities to study abroad, from exploring designers’ relationships to society and the natural world. You will learn to communicate visually by studying foundational, conceptual, creative and technical design principles and then applying them to illustrate real world ideas.
Jarvis Student Center for Innovation and Collaboration houses both DePaul Originals Game Studio, where students produce high-quality game experiences delivered on commercial platforms, and the interdisciplinary design PUSH Studio, which partners with industry professionals and social impact organizations to apply human-centered design methods to emerging technology challenges
