- The program provides a firm foundation in the principles underlying modern biotechnology techniques, and integrates this theoretical understanding with intensive training in a variety of laboratory skills and in computer applications to biotechnology.
- The curriculum of the program consists of required courses in biology and biophysics, a required two-semester research experimentation course, and elective courses in biology, chemistry, and physics.

Academic Eligibility:
- Applicants must have the equivalent of a United States bachelor's degree to be eligible to apply with GPA of 3.0.
Indian Students Eligibility:
- Applicants must have a 4 year bachelor’s degree in a relavent field from a recognised institution with GPA of 3.0.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
