Tips to enhance your application
- To enhance your application, you can add certificates that are relevant to the program that you may have achieved. You can add any volunteer activities you may have participated or any community service you may have provided
Admission Experience
- I choose USF because it is most renowned for its department of nursing and health professionals.
- It provides the course of my interest and also because it has a small cohort of students so that personal growth and development happen well as professors can pay attention to us very much.
- I also chose USF because it had it’s own data institute.
Class Schedule
- Usually 2-3 classes per week, and timings are 6:30 to 10:30 so that working professionals can attend the course. Average strength of class is 10-15-30 people in class depending on the subject.
- The Indian students ratio in my class is 6/10 students are Indians. i spend around 2-3 hours daily on my assignments
Faculty
- The faculty-to-student ratio is pretty good there are 15-30 students in class so it makes personal attention to students very important. All faculties are best and they all bring different skills to the class.
- They help in getting students jobs amd help students in all possible ways they can. They do provide references too!
Campus Life
- On our campus, many events are held every week, and we are notified prior by emails so we can stop by for whichever event interests us.
- It provides facilities like a library, sports, medical, food court and cafeteria, gym, swimming pool, and basketball court.
- And there are plenty of cultural activities and extracurricular activities.
Part Time Jobs
- Most Indian students prefer working as administrative assistants, front desk staff, cafeteria workers, library workers, sports facilities workers, TAs, and RAs. They get $18-21 pay per hour.
- It is not so easy to get a job due to the limited number of opportunities and many students apply for it. The process is online USF student employment portal
- TA and RA roles are difficult as they are limited and good for graduate students of some courses.
- Students apply through the USF portal to get any jobs on campus. The pay is between $18 and $20 on an hourly basis.
- It is not so easy to find jobs or internships. While studying, 20 hours/week is allowed, and for summer/winter, 40 hours/week
Placement
- 70-80% of students get jobs within six months of their graduation. Average salary depends on location to location; for Bay Area average students, salary for fresh graduates will be about $60-90K $ annually and that totally varies from company to company and job position as well. The lowest salary is $18-20 per hour in Bay Area.
Accommodation
- I had a few friends and relatives living around so they helped me sort out my accommodation part. I personally didn’t face challenges because they took care of that. But here people find from Facebook Marketplace and online platforms too.
- They get it from apartments.com or zillow.com to search for houses. But the authenticity of that house needs to be checked. You cannot trust anyone online.
