Required Exams for Admission

IELTS (6)

Course Curriculum

8

  • The course curriculum is a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical application, with a focus on industry-relevant skills.
  • Faculty members are experienced, offering both academic expertise and real-world insights.
  • The difficulty level varies across subjects, with a mix of conceptual and practical challenges.
  • The course is engaging, though the workload can be intense at times.

Admission Experience

  • American University and long island university

  • Got selected in both. Both places i have applied for different course. American University was backup option which i didnt use as i got offer from long island university. So i feel lucky as i got 0 rejection and been selected in both the universities i applied to. I had no rejection so nothing to explain in that section. I have had scholarship also so accepted LIU for my masters.

  • Because it offers subject i want and its have experience professors, its having range of books in library as well as its located in New York itself, which makes it very attractive. Its near to New Jersey state which does have highest number of Pharma companies in US. Which makes easy for me to get job offers. Thats why i selected it. University was asking IELTS score not less that 6 which i had. Experience process was so easy and staff was very supportive overall.

  • Admission Process is very easy and won't take much time. But the main issue is getting visa as its big task for US it takes ages to get appointment and approval. Had 3 months time period to apply for my admission and have received offer letter and my I-20 in just one month. But visa itself took 2 monthy. Staff reply very quickly so its easy for anyone to get updates.

Class Schedule

8

  • Class sizes average around 30-50 students, with Indian students comprising around 60-70% of the cohort.
  • Overall, it's a dynamic and well-rounded academic experience.
  • Classes typically range from 3 to 4 sessions a day, starting early and running into the late afternoon.

Faculty

8

  • The faculty-to-student ratio is approximately 1:15, promoting personalized attention and fostering strong student-faculty interaction. Faculty members use a mix of lectures, case studies, and hands-on projects, ensuring practical application of theory.
  • This approach adequately prepares students for the job market, with many professors offering guidance on career opportunities. Some faculty also leverage their industry connections to help students find internships or jobs.
  • I particularly admire Professor X for their deep subject knowledge and mentorship style, which goes beyond academics, and Professor Y for their practical insights and real-world experience, helping bridge the gap between theory and industry.

Campus Life

10

  • My college has two campuses: the main campus located in Brooklyn, and a secondary campus in long island.
  • The campus is equipped with a well-stocked library, sports facilities including a gym, football and basketball courts, and medical services with a clinic on-site. Major events include [Fest Name], an annual cultural festival, and [Event Name], a sports meet.
  • The college has various student clubs, such as the drama, music, and debate clubs. Extracurriculars are diverse, with opportunities for sports, cultural performances, leadership roles in student organizations, and volunteer work, providing a well-rounded student experience.

Part Time Jobs

  • Many students secure Teaching Assistant (TA), Research Assistant (RA), or Departmental Assistant (DA) positions, though the availability varies by department. Around 10-20% of students take up these roles.
  • The pay range for these positions is typically between INR 10,000-20,000 per month, depending on the role. Other on-campus jobs include working at the library, student café, or administrative offices, with hourly wages ranging from INR 100-200.
  • The maximum allowed work hours are usually 15-20 hours per week. Securing on-campus part-time jobs can be competitive but is manageable with early application and a proactive approach.
  • The usual process involves searching for job openings via campus job portals, notice boards, or student groups. Students then submit their resumes or applications, followed by interviews if shortlisted. It's crucial to start early, as many positions are filled quickly, especially during peak recruitment periods at the beginning of the semester.

Placement

10

  • Around 85-90% of my graduating batch secures employment within 6 months of completing the course.

  • The average salary range upon graduation is typically INR 6-12 lakhs per annum, depending on the role and industry.

  • Students usually find jobs through campus recruitment, internships, networking, and online job portals.

  • Many secure positions via the college's placement cell, which hosts recruitment drives. My batchmates have been placed in top companies like Amazon, Deloitte, Accenture, and Infosys, with roles in management, consulting, data analysis, and software development. These companies are known for hiring graduates from our program, offering competitive salaries and career growth.

Accommodation

Off Campus
10

  • I opted for off-campus accommodation, found through online platforms and local real estate agents. The monthly rent was around INR 15,000-20,000, which included basic amenities like Wi-Fi, water, and electricity.
  • One challenge was dealing with fluctuating prices and availability, especially during peak times. I recommend future students start their search early and join local WhatsApp or Telegram groups for real-time updates on available properties.
  • My accommodation was about 20-30 minutes from the campus by public transport. Most Indian students tend to stay in areas with good connectivity to the campus, often in student-friendly neighborhoods nearby.

Exams

  • Just IELTS 6 bond required as well as need overall 3+ GPA in previous education.
  • If have experience in field work thats also gonna help a lot to achieve goals. Additionally we will be able to get scholarship by that.

  • As well as from home also i can borrow some money as it wont be burden i dont its small installments so. cost of living also less in near by state New Jersey just 30min from university.

  • Yes i had a 6k dollar scholarship per semester which decreased my fees by half which gone really very helpful.
  • Im so happy get admission here and had scholarship which I deserve. Every year i heard almost 50% students receive scholarships.
