Required Exams for Admission

SAT (1100)

My experience at Towson University was overall very positive. I met some of the best people I’ve known to date, gotten amazing experience to put on my resume that has helped secure me a spot in a top ranked graduate school, and have made relationships with teachers and peers that will last me a lifetime. I chose this university because I really appreciated the diverse and accepting environment they fostered, as well as the fact that they are not too far from home.

Course Curriculum

8

I feel the psychology curriculum prepared me well for the work I have started to do in the field. I had the opportunity to do research in class, and work in a research lab offered by the university.

Faculty

8

For some classes we had one teacher for around 60 kids. Sometimes these teachers with larger classes would have a teachers assistant , which is a student that had done the course and is not helping to teach it for credit. The best teacher I encountered was Jared McGinley. He was an advisor for the Psychology department, and the psych newsletter, and helped guide me during my last two years at Towson.

Campus Life

7

There is a large array of campus clubs and activities going on every day for different religious groups, ethnic groups, and different areas of interest. I participated in an LGBT group on campus, as well as the Jewish group on campus. Having a larger campus, I often stumbled upon events going on and was welcomed into them even if not in the club.

Placement

7

There is an opportunity for research while still studying. Many students stay to attend graduate school, while many take a year off before returning for schooling. The graduate school for clinical psychology is two years and is very competitive to get into.

Accommodation

Off Campus
8

There is the option of living on campus, with options including having one roommate sharing your room, or living in an apartment with as many as 8 and having your own bedroom and sharing a bathroom. There are dining hall plans you can get if your apartment doesn’t have a kitchen.

Exams

-I had to take the SAT, and I scored 1100. I had to submit a college essay, and I maintained a 4.0 in high school. -Towson University BS Psychology 3.5 GPA -I did not need to submit SoP, LoRs, or CV for Towson university. -Interview: We did not have interviews for the University. The grad school does require them, though.

Fees

The schooling is around $22,000USD for in-state students.

Scholarship

I did not receive a scholarship.
