What Students Say
Likes
- The reputation of Carnegie Mellon University within CS and Analytics is top notch, and the program course really aligned with what I was looking for.
Required Exams for Admission
My overall experience has been good so far. Faculty is great, career coaches are really helpful. Our program director is a great man. The only thing that I find difficult is that the program length is only 9 months which makes the program pretty intense.
Course Curriculum
I find the course and curriculum very interesting and practical. The course is very much up to date. No, my course doesn’t include research.
Faculty
Faculty is top class. Professors are very well qualified and are really good with teaching. Faculty to student ratio is 1:15. Professor Javier Pena, our probability and statistics professor is really really good with teaching and he really makes the learning interesting.
Campus Life
Campus is amazing. There’s always one or another event happening around the campus. There are a lot of clubs to consider. Library, wifi everything is good.
Placement
Post study placements reports are really good for the college (Tepper School of Business). I don’t have the employment report of the last batch as of now.
Accommodation
For the graduate program, on campus housing isn’t available. So I live in an apartment 20 mins away from college. Local buses are free for CMU students.
Exams
My scores: GRE 154 Verbal, 165 Quant, 4 Writing. I was exempted for English speaking test. I had to submit an SOP, 2 professional LOR, CV and after selection, had to go through an Interview round. Fiirst within the application, we had to submit a video answer to a question, and after I got shortlisted, I had to pass an interview round
Fees
$70,000 for 9 month program - 2 semesters, 108 credits.
