English and film degree is characterized by the richness of literature and the study of film in its critical and creative context. Students will explore both art forms individually, as well as examining the relationship between them. As part of the English modules, students will build their core skills in critical and creative thinking, equipping students with the tools that are needed to analyze a range of literary texts. Students will also gain an appreciation of how literature reflects the social and historical contexts in which it was written.
