  • This specialized postgraduate course provides engineering graduates and experienced professionals with advanced knowledge of structures, ready to meet the challenges of the modern engineering practice.
  • It is delivered through a program of specialist modules, students will blend theoretical knowledge with contemporary methodology and practice.
  • Students will look at how advanced technology and computer-aided design are reshaping construction practice. 
  • The course is accredited by the Joint Board of Moderators (Institution of Structural Engineers, Institution of Civil Engineers, Chartered Institution of Highways Transportation, Institute of Highway Engineers, and Permanent Way Institution) as fully satisfying the requirements for a Chartered Engineer (CEng).

Requirements

Academic Eligibility:

  • Applicants should have a minimum 2:2 Honours Degree in an appropriate discipline, such as Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
  • Students must be qualified in IELTS or TOEFL or PTE to get admission to this program.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they complete one of the following eligibility criteria:

  • Students must hold a three or four year bachelor's degree with an overall average of 55% (5.8 CGPA) from a recognised institution.
  • Students scoring less but with relevant work experience, or additional, relevant qualifications may be considered for postgraduate study.
ELP Requirements
  • IELTS: 6.0 with a minimum score of 5.5 in each component.
  • TOEFL-iBT: 79 overall including minimum listening - 17; reading - 18; writing - 17; speaking - 20. TOEFL Home Edition is not accepted
  • PTE: 64 with no less than 59 in any given skill
