Academic Requirements

• A 2:1 honours degree, or international equivalent (60-65% or CGPA (6.0-6.5)/10), in: English language and/or literature, English Education, TESOL, English teaching methodology, English linguistics, English translation and interpretation, Business English 
• If you do not have one of the listed degrees, or have a lower degree classification, the University will consider your application if: 
  • you have at least two years of full time English language teaching experience
  • you provide a strong rationale in your personal statement to demonstrate how this course will enable you to achieve your career ambitions in the fields of Applied Linguistics and/or TESOL.

English Proficiency Score

• IELTS 6.5 overall (with a minimum of 6.5 in writing and 6.0 in all other sub-skills). 
• TOEFL iBT and TOEFL IBT Special Home Edition 90 overall, 22 in writing, 19 in listening, 20 in reading, and 22 in speaking. 
• PTE 70 overall, 70 in writing and 65 in all other sub-skills. 
• Duolingo 125 overall (with a minimum of 115 in Reading & Speaking, 140 in Writing and 110 in Listening).
