- The main aim of the Product Design and Technology BSc (Hons) course offered by the Loughborough University is to broaden the student's theoretical and working knowledge of the entire design process, from conception through to manufacture. This includes developing core skills and knowledge of product development, communication, product styling, three-dimensional design, materials, ergonomics, the techniques of planning and costing, manufacturing processes and the production of prototypes and finished artifacts.

Academic Eligibility:
- Students must have an official secondary school transcript to get admission.
- Students require an International Baccalaureate diploma with at least three subjects studied at Higher Level.
Indian Student Eligibility:
- Students must pass high school with 78%-88% from ISCE, CBSE Boards, and West Bengal Board.
- For other state boards, the university would be looking for achievement between 83% - 93% from the best 4 subjects.
- Specific subject marks at Standard X or Standard XII may be required for some courses.
