Our BSc Hons Occupational Safety, Health and Environment by distance learning is a novel approach to delivering health, safety and hygiene training and will allow a wider range of applicants to gain access to this growing field of employment. This programme is accredited by both the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and to Certificate level for the British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS).

The programme should be able to be completed in two years by part-time distance learning study. Students will normally complete four courses each academic year on a part-time distance-learning basis. The maximum period of registration is five years.Ê

The overall aim of the programme is to produce an individual with competence across the core disciplines of environment, safety and health practice. In particular, the course aims to engender the necessary skills for managing environment, safety and health activities, and will encourage a 'team' approach in environment, safety and health practice.Ê
