Why study this course with us?
- TheÊFilm Studies and Radio ProductionÊcourse offered by the University of Chester examines key films, movements and moments in film history and there are also opportunities for students to pursue topics that interest them from particular film genres to renowned directors.
- Whilst the programme is largely theoretical, students have the opportunity to demonstrate an understanding of theory through creative film practice via the design or creation of artefacts such as scripts, storyboards and short films.
- The course can be combined with a variety of complementary subjects on the Warrington Campus.
- From the outset, you will be broadcasting in teams, in small groups and individually, if you so choose, Ð and not just in lecture times either. Our radio station Ð The Cat Radio Ð is at the heart of campus social life, and is on air and online 24/7. You will have access to the studios till late in the evenings and over the weekends. Your listeners are in the hall next door, all over the country and on the other side of the world.
- You will learn in excellent facilities and be taught by staff who are passionate about radio.
