What Students Say
Likes
- Excellent syllabus, fully updated knowledge and data from extremely accomplished faculty and experts.
- Campus and facilities are state of the art, well funded and well established in terms of ECA, sporting facilities, etc.
Dislikes
- Some courses do not come with placement options, ultimately making the entire course feel under valued due to having to travel back to home countries from not being able to find work.
Course Curriculum
- A fully updated course syllabus was given research experience, some industrial exposure, but only from a theoretical standpoint. around 3 to 4 classes per day on average, each up to 2 hours. Classes were assigned from a timetable, typically starting at 8 or 9 am in the morning, going up to 4 or 5 pm. My class had around 90 to 95 students.
Admission Experience
- Among the top 5 universities worldwide for the course I was interested in, research on faculties showed them to be at the top of their field in terms of knowledge, experience, and research ability. The university was home to some of the best sporting facilities in the world in terms of technology, space, and importance. The town was safe, consisting mostly of student crowds.
- Minimum ranking in relevant fields from undergrad, not sure about other scores. They do have a minimum requirement for IELTS, but my English scores from previous education were good enough; they did not ask me to submit one.
Faculty
- Very well versed, some approachable and some not, but that's more personality and not their intention.
Campus Life
- Multiple buildings for various fields of study, multiple clubs for everything arts, humanities, and sports, 1 main library, and multiple mini libraries. Multiple sporting facilities, rugby grounds, football grounds, badminton and tennis courts, etc.
Part Time Jobs
- Can potentially find part-time roles in fast food joints nearby or as research assistants, or in a nearby children's school as a teaching assistant.
Placement
- For my course, no placements were given. Most disappointing aspect of this course. So I'm not sure about the rest.
Accommodation
- Found accommodation through various sites offering the same in the town of Loughborough, the university offered on-campus accommodation, but at a slightly greater cost per week. My account. was off-campus, paying 128 GBP per week.
Exams
- IELTS and a relevant undergrad course in sport and exercise psychology.
Fees
- 2023-24 tuition fees for my course: 28,100 GBP.
