- Flexible schedule with classes primarily 2–3 days a week.

Dislikes
- On-campus part-time jobs are not readily available.
- Some professors are not as fascinating as others.
- Fewer industrial visits than were envisaged for a construction course.
Course Curriculum
- Curriculum current with relevant module content such as BIM, procurement, risk management, sustainability.
- No formal tests—coursework, group projects, presenting are typical.
- Average of 2–3 classes per week with average of 1–2 sessions daily.
- Class strength of about 30 students.
- Industrial exposure was given with a trip to Berlin, with some live case studies included as well.
Admission Experience
- I selected Sheffield Hallam University due to its technology-oriented and practically-oriented MSc in Construction Project Management.
- Timetable flexibility of class schedules, value for money of course fees, as well as international student support were some of the determinants.
- Experience there so far has been great—been able to balance studying, a part-time job, as well as free time very well due to demands of course as well as favorable environment.

Faculty
- Professors are insightful and helpful. Some are research-driven, some industry-exposed.
- Approachable during tutorials as well as emails.
Campus Life
- It's a comfortable campus life. IT labs, student areas, libraries, and cafes are good at SHU. You get clubs for photography, dancing, coding, and cultural clubs like Indian Society.
- Social events as well as career fairs happen quite often from the Student Union. Facilities for sports centre as well as learning commons are first-class.
Part Time Jobs
- On-campus employment is limited (library assistant, ambassador, etc.) and competitive.
- Off-campus part-time work in restaurants, clothing stores, and delivery is within grasp. Average pay: £12.21/hour, Max hours allowed: 20 hours/week, during term time.
- Many of the students secure off-campus jobs within a few weeks of arrival. TA/RA positions are not common unless you are taking a research course.
Placement
- As for seniors’ response:
30–40% land employment in 6 months of college.
Median salary: £25,000 to £32000.

Accommodation
- I discovered shared rooms from student Facebook groups. Now, it costs about £400/month, incl. bills.
- It includes heating, Wi-Fi, a washer, and a 10-minute walking distance from campus.
- On-campus costs more, about £500–£650/month depending on what room you end up with.
