Reason for choosing my college
The location is in central London, has a great faculty and a high reputation amongst employers. This college has several societies that allow you to make friends and network outside your field. Moreover, on-site visits were one of the main reasons along with its state-of-the-art news studio.

Reason for Rejection
I did not want to go to the University of Westminister due to its poor reviews online and extremely expensive accommodation nearby. The college lacks facilities for the course I wanted to pursue. The uni took really long to respond to the application.

Tips to enhance your application
Make sure to have at least one to two years of work experience and Ca GPA of higher than 8. This will allow to have a faster response in not just university applications but visas too.
Admission Experience
I chose the UK as it provides internationally accredited journalism courses with highly practical and hands-on courses that allow me to develop skills for the journalism industry. The uni has a state-of-the-art newsroom-style studio.
Class Schedule
The number of classes changes every semester. usually, it's 2-3 lectures in a day with each being an hour long. On production days lectures can go for 7-9 hours. Timings of lectures are usually between 10 am and 5 pm. The strength is somewhere between 60-65. Very few Indians in this course with around 3-4. Self-study can take from a few hours to around 7-8 hours depending on assignments or projects.
Faculty
The faculty is highly approachable with them responding to your emails within a few minutes to less than an hour in working hours. The best faculty members involve Yuen Chen, Zahera Harb, Julie Hadwin and James Rodgers. The faculties do not provide any references but surely guide how to create CVs and cover letters.
Campus Life
The college has 2 campuses with the largest being Northhampton Square. The Business school has one at Finsbury Park near Moorgate Underground. There is an ophthalmology lab, infirmary, gym, basketball court and pickleball court. Several societies such as Hindu, Indian, sports etc are there in the university. Extracurricular activities involve football, basketball, fencing, badminton and other sports that are played at inter and intra-college levels.
Part Time Jobs
The pay range is between 10-15 GBP per hour, depending on the role. One can find part times through LinkedIn or reference. Usually, students here approach employers in person to land a job. It is easy to get a part-time with flexible hours.
One is allowed 20 hours per week on normal uni days, but 40 hours on vacations. One can try for part-time through the university career team. The pay can range up to 10-15 GBP per hour depending on the role
Placement
Jobs in print and broadcast media are preferred by most students from this course. One can expect an answer within 1-2 months of applying. the salary range is from 25000-35000 GBP per annum. Students find jobs through grad schemes, LinkedIn or cold emailing or references.
Accommodation
One can use Amber, and Uniacco to look at the accommodation for their choice that fits their budget or preferences, Living near City University of London, one can choose Alliance House, Elanor Rosa House, IQ City, East Central House and Cross Court House.
