Required Exams for Admission

IELTS (6)

I chose this University because this is internationally recognised and award winning university with the heritage of quality of education going back more than 100 years. First you need to submit you IELTS score wiith a minimum score of 6 bands. Then they send you an offer letter within 1 or 2 weeks. After that, they will share the payment process and you have to submit the fees accordingly. I took classes from Aim Overseas to prepare for my interview exam.

Course Curriculum

10

There are minimum two modules/subjects in one semester. According to the marking system, the weightage of each subject is divided into 30% and 70% ratios which includes computer based exams and internal assessments. This helps in understanding the subject better and makes the assessment of each subject efficient. This helps in upgrading the skill set related to the respective subject. There is one course head under whom several faculties work and each faculty manages around 55-60 students at a time.

Faculty

10

The typical faculty to student ratio is 1:60 in most of the classes. The learning process is very appreciable. First they give you an overview of the theory of the subject and then they take us to the lab for practicals for more enhanced understanding of the concept. If you're having any difficulty regarding any topic, they will come to you and explain it from the beginning and make sure that you understand the concept

Campus Life

The classmates are very friendly in nature and very supportive. There is a cafe in the university where you can avail student discount. There are students from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Columbia, Bangladesh, Nepal and many more.Library facilities are very appreciable. All the necessary facilities are easily available to students. You can also borrow laptop without any charges just by showing your id for your university work. Majority of sports facilities are available but one thing that I miss is Cricket.

Placement

10

Some of the famous employers are Crossrail, NHS, Axis Electronics and T-mobile. Majority of students do part time jobs while studying to meet their expenses. Bedfordshire graduates have an employability rate of over 90 percent. You can expect an average package of 45,000 pounds after graduating from this university.

Accommodation

Off Campus

I chose to I live in a rented room for which I pay 300 pounds for a month which is less as compared the hostel fees which is 450 pounds per month. It is located 30 miles away from my university for which I have to travel through bus to reach the university. It takes about 2.5 hours to reach there. I prepare my meals by myself and I buy groceries once a week. Water bill, gas bill and electricity bill are included in the rent money.

Fees

The annual fees is 14,500 pounds which is a little bit difficult to afford. There are two modes of submitting the fees. First, you can submit the entire fees for which you get a scholarship of 500 pounds. Second, you can split the fees into two parts of 65% and 35% of the total fees. The first 65% has to be submitted in one payment and the rest 35% can be submitted in 4 installments. There are no other academic expenses. None that I am aware of.

Scholarship

There is only one scholarship that you can avail which you can get only if you submit the entire annual fees in one go. For first year students, they give you a scholarship of 1000 pounds and for the rest of the academic years, you get scholarship of 500 pounds. If you don't submit the full fees in one time then you don't get any concession.
