What Students Say?
Likes
- I loved the Academic Freedom and The Exposure to the Industry I received.
Dislikes
- I dislike the lack of Practical Exposure and Job Placements.
Not many universities in the UK gave me the option to pursue a dual-subject master's degree. I either had the option to pursue strategic Advertising or Mass Communications. However, at UOG I was offered an offer for Strategic Advertising along with Marketing Communications which gave me overall exposure to branding, strategy and Business Development.
Course Curriculum
My course is very inclusive, we had courses that are updated as per current trends as well as subjects that are classic and the basis for further learning.
Exams
- My scores: IELTS 7, Undergraduate Marks of 50% in the final year - St. Mary’s Convent High School SSC- 85% ; KJ Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce HSC - 80% Don Bosco Institute of Technology BAMMC - 89% - Requirements: Yes, I had to submit 1 SOP, 2 LORS, my Updated CV along with my Marksheets. I had no Interview round whatsoever.
Placement
The only drawback is that there are absolutely no placements provided by the college and considering the situation of the job market in London/UK I feel it should be noted and corrected. The amount of money we invest in our education is not small and for that, I personally feel it should be considered.
Fees
The total fees for the university was 16,000 pounds and the amount for my accommodation was another 13,000 pounds for 1 year .
Faculty
The faculty with respect to students was commendable very inclusive and approachable. Being well-versed in English and from different nationalities make it easier for students to go to them for absolutely anything.
Campus Life
My campus was the most beautiful campus I laid eyes on, right on the banks of the River Thames, with the best clubs allowing us to connect with like-minded individuals and also grow in our careers.
Hostel
The accommodation I stayed in was Scape Canada Water where I paid 350 pounds a week for an ensuite with a kitchen sharing of 10 people, the connectivity to Central London was also great.
