What Students Say
Likes
- Faculties provide optimum support to students in achieving top results.
Dislikes
- They separate international students from local students. It means that batches are different for international and local students.
I had less percentage in my bachelor's, so I had to clear the pathway program to start my actual course. So I completed my pre masters which lasted for 3 months. Overall, the University is good. They have their name in UK markets. The value of UOP graduates is higher compared to other average universities.
Course Curriculum
The course is crafted as it's for PhD students. My course is accredited by CIPD so you can imagine the value of the program. Faculties support students in research projects. They provide each student with their personal tutors, especially for research projects/dissertations who help them to understand the research topic properly. They keep on checking research progress, provide optimum guidance on do's and don'ts, and help in completing research projects on time.
Faculty
A tutor for 25 students. Faculties are easily approachable. They hear each student's issues and resolve them as it's a requirement. I am a student representative for my batch. So my job is to address the issues faced by my university mates and getting timely resolutions.
Campus Life
The library is one of the best places at the University where I spend most of my time. There are many activities in the campus, and they ask students to involve themselves in these but the journey for international students is not easy as an international student I have to balance my student and personal life. I have to earn so that I can manage my daily expenses i.e. rent, food, stationeries, etc. so if you don't have a tension to earn money, your parents are rich enough then you get plenty of time to invest your time in extracurricular activities in the University.
Placement
I have not completed my studies yet or I can say that I am yet to go through that stage.
Accommodation
University Accommodations are too costly it's between 650-900. If that's ok with you good. If you stay in uni accommodations you get to know about different students coming from different corners of the world. But if the cost is too high for you then you should look at other accommodations provided by Asians who either came on work permits or student visas and settled in the UK. They provide sharing accommodations with the inclusion of food and basic facilities.
Exams
- IELTS -6; Bachelor's no less than 50%. If have a gap with relevant experience. Academic and professional LOR. - 10th-68.62%; 12th-70.82%; B.com-48% Gujarat University - Requirements: I had only one round of interviews taken by the University. That was basically to check my language proficiency and intentions behind enrolment. Students do not need to worry about interviews. They ask questions such as introduction, previous qualifications, work experience-related questions, and why you have chosen our University and not others. So here you can compare some universities that rank lower than your University and explain the difference. Value of degree and how it will help you achieve your future goals. How it aligns with your professional goal etc. They required each professional and academic LOR. Experience certificates.
Fees
8700 for my pre-masters and 16900 for my masters
