Dislikes
- The course curriculum and project structure of the program, while reflective of academic rigor, left me with a sense of dissatisfaction. The content, though comprehensive, lacked the dynamic engagement I anticipated. A notable improvement could be achieved through the incorporation of additional activities and presentations to enhance interactivity.
- The curriculum, while solid in its theoretical foundation, seemed to miss opportunities for practical application. Integrating more hands-on projects or real-world case studies would have provided a bridge between theory and practice, fostering a deeper understanding of the subject matter.
The overall experience was good, the university was fine but the exposure that one gets whilst living alone and independently is beyond amazing,
Course Curriculum
The course curriculum and associated activities, unfortunately, fell short of providing the anticipated level of engagement and stimulation. The curriculum, while covering necessary material, lacked a dynamic and interactive approach that could have made the learning experience more captivating. A dearth of innovative teaching methods and varied activities contributed to a sense of monotony, making it challenging to sustain interest. Incorporating more diverse instructional strategies, such as case studies, practical applications, or interactive discussions, could have injected vitality into the learning process. These elements not only foster a deeper understanding but also cater to diverse learning styles, ensuring that the material resonates with a broader range of students. The activities associated with the course seemed to lack the creativity needed to inspire genuine interest. A more thoughtful curation of projects, presentations, or collaborative endeavors could have added excitement and practical relevance, making the learning journey more enjoyable and meaningful. In conclusion, while the course covered essential content, a revamp of the curriculum's delivery and associated activities could greatly enhance its appeal, ensuring a more engaging and enriching educational experience for students.
Exams
No GMAT, I gave three interviews and submitted a statement of purpose. Although, IELTS is required if one is from a non-English speaking country (like India) but since I scored a 95 in 12th CBSE English, I got an IELTS waiver. Yes, Statement of purpose is a mandate, LOR and CV is non- mandatory but if you have them, feel free to submit them as it will improve your application only. Yes, there were 2 rounds of interview which were very basic and general. I suggest you to have a good information about your course structure and modules and do a little bit research on the university as well.
Placement
Placement as such is not that good, the team helps you with the CV and interview stuff but hunting for companies is solely the students work.
Internship
No, internship wasn't mandatory for my course. I did work part-time though.
Fees
It varies every year, I paid approximately 1250 GBP for the whole course.
Faculty
The student-faculty ratio, varying between 25:1 to 70:1 across modules, reflects a diversity in class sizes within the institution. Despite this range, the adequacy of the classroom size seems to have mitigated potential challenges associated with larger ratios. The provision of sufficiently spacious classrooms ensures that students can comfortably engage with the learning environment, fostering a conducive atmosphere for academic interaction. Moreover, the positive aspect of the faculty's friendliness and attentiveness serves as a mitigating factor. The professors' approachability and attentiveness contribute significantly to the overall learning experience, creating an environment where students feel supported and encouraged to seek guidance. This personalized attention can offset the potential drawbacks of higher student-faculty ratios, as students may still receive the necessary support and mentorship. While a consistent ratio might be ideal, the adaptability of the institution to varying ratios, coupled with the positive attributes of spacious classrooms and dedicated faculty, showcases a commitment to providing a quality learning experience regardless of class size differences. This balance between infrastructure, faculty engagement, and adaptability helps create a positive and effective learning environment for students across diverse modules.
Campus Life
The campus life at the institution was generally positive, marked by regular events, albeit on a smaller scale. While the frequency of events added a lively touch to the environment, the relatively modest scale may have left room for expansion to accommodate a broader range of interests. The extracurricular activities, however, seemed to be lacking in diversity and depth. Despite this, the presence of a gym and an active cheerleading team emerged as standout features. The gym likely provided a space for physical fitness and well-being, contributing to a holistic student experience. The vibrancy of the cheerleading team suggests a dedicated and engaged community, showcasing the potential for robust involvement in specific extracurricular domains. Furthermore, the commendable aspects of campus infrastructure, such as the library and WiFi services, contributed positively to the overall experience. A well-equipped library, housing an extensive collection, provides students with valuable academic resources. The reliable and efficient WiFi network ensures seamless connectivity, facilitating research and communication. In summary, while the campus life offered positive elements like frequent events and active sports teams, there may be opportunities to enhance the diversity of extracurricular activities for a more comprehensive student experience. The commendable library and WiFi services, along with active fitness and sports groups, contribute significantly to the overall appeal of the campus environment.
