- The university was chosen because of the excellent research program that they had. The campus and location was also another factor why I chose this Uni. Brighton is a beautiful place very close by to London. It is extremely beautiful and well known. The course in University of Sussex is ranked at number 2 in Psychology.

Dislikes
- The marking team Striking at the result time lead to the delaying of results, which caused a bit of anxiety among students. This could have been handled a bit better in terms of the communication that occurred.
Required Exams for Admission
The campus had this lively vibe, and I loved the mix of people from different backgrounds. The interdisciplinary approach to learning was refreshing—it made me see connections between subjects I never thought of before. The campus itself is gorgeous, surrounded by greenery. It's the kind of place where you can find a peaceful spot to study or just chill. The focus on research was impressive, and I got to explore topics that truly fascinated me. Of course, like any journey, there were challenges, but the overall experience was definitely worth it. Sussex has this unique blend of academic excellence and a laid-back atmosphere that makes it memorable.
Course Curriculum
The course is extremely updated and relevant. Throughout the course I had the chance to talk to various individuals from my field that helped give me a wide range of perspective. An entire module is based on talking and reflecting to people. We were also provided with mentors both academic as well as professional ones to help us better understand and adapt to the country and the industry. Scoring is good too and the relevance is mostly ion critical thinking. There are no academic exams but just assessments and portfolios reflecting to the work one would do in the industry.
Faculty
The student to faculty ratio is well balanced and there are no more than 30 students in a class. More than that, every professor comes from a different background in the course with huge experience and qualifications. We were taught modules on leadership by our MBA director Prof. Dr Zahira Jaser who studied from LSE and has worked in the banking sector for 15 years in organisations like Barclays and JP Morgan. A range of background for professors includes subjects like diversity and inclusion, Training and management, Emotions in the workplace and many more.
Campus Life
The university offers a wide range of extracurricular activities along with various cultural clubs. Sussex has clubs such as the south asian society, business/economic society/ music society, psychological society and many more providing exposure towards different cultures as well as recreational and educational activities. It also hosts events such as house hunts, meet ups and guest speaking sessions for students to gain knowledge and to help them. The infrastructure is diverse with a mix of old and new buildings proving a range of on campus accommodations and a well equipped library with wifi throughout the campus.
Placement
The post placement opportunity are good. For my course, they do not provide placement however aid you in finding opportunities in every way possible. There are career fairs throughout the year that call for companies to come. These include big organisations like NHS, EY, American Express etc. These are for all backgrounds.
Accommodation
Studio room - £270/ week (51 weeks). It was one of the best accommodations in Brighton because of which the facility provided had everything, including gym, common kitchen, library, cinema room etc. University accommodations had sharing bathrooms and kitchen ranging for £175 / week. There are wide range of options in university as well as outside.
Exams
The university requires IELTS scores above 6.5. Since I had scored higher than 90% in my 12th Grade I received a waiver for the same. The minimum required class for the university is 2:2 i.e. above 60%. You have to include all, CV, 2 LOR's and an SOP. In your SOP mention your relevant experience, why you want to join the university and what excites you about the course and the university. Make sure to mention your academic achievements as one might not have enough work experience if doing masters straight after bachelors. Keep it inspiring but short as to one page only.

Scholarship
I got 2 scholarships, which was given by the university itself. I received the Sussex India Scholarship (SIS) for £3,000. I also received a scholarship from the business school- Business School International Masters Award from the University of Sussex. This is worth £3,000.
