Academic Qualification

• Degree Requirement: First-class (Equivalent 3.7 to 4.0 on a 4.0 scale) honours degree in Economics or equivalent with a focus on economics and quantitative subjects.
• Coursework Requirements: Successful completion of two-semester length courses in:
  • Advanced Calculus and Linear Algebra.
  • Econometrics and Statistics.
  • Intermediate Macroeconomics and Microeconomics.
• Alternative Degree Path:
  • MSc Economics (2 years) for candidates whose first degree is not in Economics.
  • MSc Econometrics and Mathematical Economics for candidates with a technical degree and strong quantitative background.

Country Specific Requirement

• Taught Master's (2:1 Equivalent):
  • Bachelor's degree (BA, BSc, BCom, BTech) awarded after a minimum of 3 years of study.
  • Bachelor of Medicine (minimum 5 years of study).
  • Required CGPA: 3.3/4, 5/7, 6/8, 7/9, or 7.6/10.
• Taught Master's (1st Class Equivalent):
  • Bachelor's degree (BA, BSc, BCom, BTech) awarded after a minimum of 3 years of study.

Introductory Course

• Introductory Course: Mathematics and Statistics, starting in late August.
• Key Concepts: Covered Optimisation, fixed point theory, dynamic programming, optimal control, probability, and statistics.
• Main Programme: Begins after completion of the introductory course.

English Language Requirement

• IELTS (Academic): Overall 7.0, with 6.5 in each section.
• TOEFL iBT: Overall 100, with Reading 23, Listening 22, Writing 24, and Speaking 22.
• PTE Academic (in-person): Overall 70, with 62 in each section.
• LSE Language Centre Presessional: Overall 70, with 65 in each section.
• Cambridge English Scale: Overall 185, with 176 in each section.
• Trinity ISE (revised): Level III with Merit in all sections.
