Term 1

- Financial Reporting: Understanding principles and practices of accounting, preparing and interpreting financial statements.
- Research Methods for Finance Professionals: Grounding in financial research, particularly financial modelling and information gathering.
- Strategic Management Accounting: Efficient use of business information for decision-making and performance measurement.

Term 2

Advanced Corporate Finance: In-depth analysis of capital structure decisions, dividend and cash policy, valuation, and mergers and acquisitions.
- Financial Statement Analysis: Techniques used by professionals to analyze and interpret financial information disclosed by firms.
- International Financial Management: Understanding financial management in an international context.
- Accounting Information and Capital Markets: Tools and techniques used to assess the fundamental value of traded securities in global markets.

Term 3

Students can choose one of the following options:
1. Option 1: Five specialist elective modules (5 x 10 credits)
2. Option 2: 10,000-word Business Research Project (40 credits) and one specialist elective module (1 x 10 credits)
3. Option 3: 3,000–5,000 word Applied Research Project (20 credits) and three specialist elective modules (3 x 10 credits)
4. Option 4: International Financial Reporting Standards module (30 credits) and two specialist electives (2 x 10 credits)
5. Option 5: International Financial Reporting Standards module (30 credits) and 3,000–5,000 word Applied Research Project (20 credits)
