- Master of Science in Material Engineering at the Lulea University of Technology, is a 2-year (4 Semester) program.
- It is an on-campus program offered on a full-time basis.
- Students have to successfully complete 120 credits for the program.
- Students will gain a rich cultural experience and a wide network with students from all over the world.
- The courses during the first year will cover basic areas such as structure and properties of materials.
- During the second year, students will in a very practical manner train their skills to work as an engineer or scientist.
- Students will be doing two major projects which are based on subprojects on ongoing university research or product development in collaboration with the industrial partners.
- All of the industrial partners have a high degree of materials developed as part of their core activities which makes their contribution very valuable.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must complete a Bachelors's degree of a minimum of 180 ECTS with at least 60 ECTS in the area of mining technology, constructions technology, or natural resource technology.
- At least 22.5 ECTS in Mathematics at the university level is required.
Language Requirement:
- Good knowledge in English, equivalent to English B/6.
- Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Completed a 4-year UG degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Or, completed a 3-year UG degree from an accredited institution
