Course Curriculum

10

  • It’s quite difficult for me to understand teaching is quite different from India; it takes time for me to adapt to the course curriculum and started learn, here mostly it’s not about memorizing; it’s about understanding the concept and applying it in the real world. mostly there will be a project for every subject for understanding the subjects better. In my course I Iam the one and only Indian; mostly Chinese people. For master's student students, class time will be 6:30 pm to 9:45 pm; mostly part-time students will study so timing will be evening only.

Admission Experience

  • I have applied to NTU College and NUS college, In NTU I applied for different courses, got rejected in AI, and got selected in Blockchain Technology. At NUS, I got rejected for the AI course; I got rejected at NUS and also applied in the previous year for both colleges but got rejected at both colleges in the previous year. I think they have rejected me because of a project that I have not done related to specific AI. Also, if I had an internship experience in a related field, there might be a chance that they might have given me an offer. Also, I have done a project related to Blockchain, so I think I have secured the offer.
  • I have chosen this college because Blockchain technology is emerging in Singapore rather than other countries, and I also notice that NTU is a top 10 college in Asia. My parents also reside in Singapore, so I have chosen this college and this country.
Admission process is good; like, initially we have to fill out the admission letter with some information and we need to include some certifications of previous studies and we also need to have an admission fee. Then, after 2 months, they will send an email regarding whether you have been selected or not. Once you are approved, then you need to pay 10% of the college fee to hold the offer, then the student visa process will begin, and you will have to attend a medical exam at University hospital before the start of college. Overall, the process is quite simple and easy.
And If you studied in the English medium, there is no necessity for extra English certification like TOEFL or IELTS.
  • I have applied for the August Intake, started my application procedure of FEB and the outcome you will receive in mid-April. once the accepted student visa process starts in May, they issue visas in mid-June, and college will start in August. It takes around a 6-month process.
I have thought of upgrading my skills to the latest technology that is evolving around the globe so I applied for this course and pursued it.

  • There will be around 60 members in each class; communication will be good; every teacher will have 30 minutes for a QA session after the class is over, so students have time to discuss doubts with professors; related to this, there will be a career fair that happens twice a year, like in August and February; there will be a lot of companies; it's a good place to secure a job; teachers also assist with jobs if you're good at communication with them.

Campus Life

10

  • Campus has 5 sections; mostly classes will be in NW and SW. On campus, all the facilities are available like a library, sleeping room, restaurant, dance club, music club, sports area, gym, swimming pool, outdoor ground, meeting area, computer lab, gaming area, indoor games, and canteen.
  • Time to time there will be celebrations happen like Diwali, Pongal, and new year celebrations. for big festivals there will be celebration, after you join there will be selection for every club like for dance , sports, etc. you can participate in that and can go to the club.

Pay range will be around 800 sgd per month depends on professors and work you have doing. You will have opportunity to find part time in campus easily there will lot positions available like in McD, GYM, Club, Library like lot of part time jobs available is quite easy to get.
  • Suppose if you get part time you will receive around 10 sgd per hour, it’s easy to get a job there will poster around each shop if they want to hire, you can check and apply process is simple there will single round interview , after you can start work, majorly timing also flexible here like hourly basics you need to communicate before the what timing you free and can work depending on that.

8

  • There is a career fair event that will occurs twice in year it’s an opportunity to you get placed. Number of companies will come research the company and depending on you background apply for the role there is a good chance to get placed. After studies they issue 1 year of work visa so you will have opportunity to get a job easily if you study in NTU.

Accommodation

Off Campus
10

  • I have stayed in my home, my friends are stayed in college campus , the fee is around 500 sgd and transport is free inside campus and food also quite reasonable in campus and rooms are pretty good every day they will clean the room and atmosphere is quite natural like lot of trees in inside campus so you feel good. If you stay outside it will be around 1000 sgd for single room.

Exams

  • If you are studying in the English medium, there will be no extra English certification required. If not, you need to take the IELTS OR TOEFL with a minimum of 7. Documents like a birth certificate, English medium certificate, college mark sheet, course completion certificate, 10 certificate, 12 certificate, statement of purpose (SOP), Resume, Bonafide Letter. There will be no interview process in NTU .

Fees

  • If you take a full-time (1-year) course, you have to pay like 50% in the first semester and another 50% in the second semester. And for part-time, 2 years means we have to pay 25% in each semester.
  • College hostel fee around 500 sgd.
  • If you take a room outside, it costs around 1000 SGD. Transport will cause depends on where you stay; if you stay in college, the buses are free, but outside campus there will be a charge of around 5 SGD per day.food is quite expensive and might take around 1000 sgd per month, depending on the individual.

Scholarship

  • For my course there is no scholarship, but for the MOM register course there is a scholarship. When applying check this and apply. And if you score or get top 3 grades in overall CGPA among the class, you will receive 12000 SGD as a prize amount. For local citizens and PR in Singapore, they have a quite good scholarship but for foreigners it depends; for UG students, there are scholarships that pay the full amount with a work visa for 5 years. For masters students, there is no scholarship but for the MOM register course, there will be scholarships that reduce the amount, like 5%.
