Singapore Student Visa (Student’s Pass) Process for Indian Students

International students in Singapore require a Student’s Pass instead of a traditional student visa for full-time courses longer than 30 days.The Student's Pass is issued by Singapore's Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) to study full-time at NUS, NTU, SMU, SIM or any other institution in Singapore. The entire process is managed through ICA's SOLAR (Student's Pass Online Application and Registration) system.
The first thing students require is an admission offer from university. After receiving admission, the university registers the student in ICA’s SOLAR system. Students then complete the Student’s Pass application online and receive an In-Principle Approval (IPA) letter. Once this is done you can travel to Singapore using IPA letter, complete biometric formalities and receive the digital Student’s Pass.
