Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum was as same as every year and it was well planned. I would say that it does prepare us like 40% or less for the real world. Practicals and taking us out in the reality world would help better in understanding and would help student figure out on how, when, where to get things done in real life. Exams were fine except that fact that they were conducted during blazing heat of summer. We also wrote exams in the month of Ramadan were students fasted in the heat and travelled far to the intuition.
Internships Opportunities
No internship opportunities were given by the college. We were asked to find internship and make report based on what we were doing there by ourself for the final semester project. Although internship was not compulsory for my course, it was optional. It was compulsory for all the other courses.
Placement Experience
Students were eligible for placements since semester 5-6. Atleast 7-8 companies visited for placements. Don't remember exactly but the lowest package offered was 1.5L per annum from a sports company. Highest offered was 3.5L p.a. for a fresher. Not sure how many accepted the placements. I joined a work from home office as a technical recruiter for an American Company .
Fees and Financial Aid
Paid ?25,000 per semester and ?50,000 yearly. Total of ?1,50,000 for 3 year course and 6 semester in total.Exam fees and attendance fees were collected separately. Apart from that we paid for events that took place in the college. We had to purchase tickets for the events too and it was made compulsory. Paid for suit.
Campus Life
Campus life was amazing. We had car parking, bike parking, sports ground for basketball and badminton, indoor games such as carrom board, table tennis etc, had gym and a big library with lots of option and a computer room. Class rooms had a wooden single chair attached with single hand table for each student, a green board and a projector. Class had 4 fans and big windows.
Admission
I chose this college as i applied for colleges late and this college still accepted students. Apart from that i chose it because it had the course i felt interested in, it has bigger sports ground, it was only women's college and it had gym and it was a well known and reputed college.
Faculty
Good number of faculty are present at the college. They are professional and help the students in every aspect. My favourite professor was Mac daniel mam, she taught me since the day the joined college till the end of it, she knew her subject well and was keen on making her students understand. She was supportive and motivating. She really really inspired me in many ways. Didn't like the outcast sir, Mr. Chanderashekhar, he was appointed for certificate course tally and Gst subjects. Although he explained fine but when i had trouble with loading my exam on the computer, he couldnt help and took additional fees for me to rewrite the exam, but never took the exam or gave my refund for tally. We gave internals for every subject twice per semester, pre finals and semester end exams pet semester. 75:1 was the student teacher ratio as per my class.
Night Life
The college did not have a night life whatsoever. You could say the favourite hangout space would be the terrace, for some reason we found it fun to sneak into the terrace which was not allowed and was locked. The panipoori stall outside the college would have been a favorite spot for girls, apart from that we had mang options just out the lane, kfc, dominoes, donuts, cafe coffee day, guilt trip and what not ! It was a safe area during day and night both.
