Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose this course because it's what booming in IT Industry as of now. When involved in curriculum I started to like what I'm learning. As I was always good in mathematics and statistics so it helped me in learning machine learning with a ease and built a passion to aspire a career out of it. Well, in real world we can see AI everywhere whether it's a chatbot or recomendation systems everywhere it's intgrated with ml, ai and ds. The curriculum prepares you with the basic knowledge and it's student responsibility to get wisdom out of it by doing projects. And management will support you for the projects. I felt there are certain subjects dealt in very basic level which definitely needs improvement and make students learn new technologies and a bit difficulty level . A semester lasts 5 months in which 1 month is dedicated to exams. I'd say it's not difficult to prepare for exams but for knowledge it is . In examination pov we can study even in one night and can score well.

Internships Opportunities

3

Cognizant offers internship with 15-20k as stipend for interns. Lumen offers 30k as stipend for interns . There are less number of company internships that we can get through college T&P cell. Other than company internships we can get internships from Iisc, iits, nits, central Universities etc I've done my summer internship at Mizoram Central University where I've done a project and published in ieee also I have got patent rights for my project.

Placement Experience

3

There are campus placements in mits They call in mncs like Accenture cognizant ltimindtree ibm etc for mass hiring. From 7th semester students are elgible for placements. The whole 7th semester goes through placement exams from various companies. This year for batch 2025 upto now Accenture Cognizant Ltimindtree ibm Deloitte recruitcrm etc have visited the campus for placement In Accenture 150 students , Cognizant mote than 150 (interviews are still happening for different clusters) got placed for rest of companies the process is on board and for some companies waiting for results. More than 60% of students got placed last year . My plans after degree is to get placed in a high paying job

Fees and Financial Aid

For my batch (2021) in convenor quots it's 69,990 rupees but now it's approximately 77,000 rupees . If the student family have a Andhra Pradesh state ration card then govt will provide 100% scholarship which is applicable for the current batches also . If they doesn't hold ration card then the student is elgible to apply for outer scholarships. For Management quota it was 1,60,000 for 2021 batch currently it's 2,00,000 rupees . Govt doesn't provide scholarship for them but are eligible for outer scholarships such as minority, women scholarships etc.

Campus Life

4

I'm having a great experience at mits as this has all the aspects any btech student will experience. "Ashv" is a fest celebrated in the month of May. it's a two day national event involving all technical, non technical, sports activities. Also there are department festivals on technical and non technical events which are most likely to happen in march and april. You'll get all the reference books in library that are mentioned in curriculum. All the classrooms are equipped with projectors. Thete are limited smart classrooms. There exists seninar halls as well . Sports are not given enough importance. Only limited number of students get involved in sports activities. Extra curriculars are encouraged by the department and management upto a certain level based on its importance. There are many clubs such as Student activity centre, NCC NSS, skill bee club, foreign language club etc. it helps in team collaboration, managementin a student's life.

Admission

I chose this college as it's one of best around my area and it's near to me also the standards are also met my rank so I chose this college. Colleges such as MBU , JNTU kalikiri were the colleges that I've applied. I got mbu but mits was better than that in aspects of standards and public reviews and now I also feel the same thing . Speaking of jntu kalkiri it was out of my league my rank didn't match with the group I wanted with very less margin. Admission process for MITS: For Convenor seat: Must attend EAPCET exam which is a state level competitive exam. Based on state rank one will know whether they seat in mits or not . Mostly if rank is under 20,000 then you'll get seat any one of the computer science branches for general category . Above 20000 for general category in mits will land you in core engineering courses . It goes upto 60000 rank for mechanical and civil engineering in mits. For Management quota: There are certain defined seats for every department. It goes on first come first serve process . If you're ineligible to apply on convenor then you can go for management quota. Obviously fees is nearly thrice when compared to convenor fees for computer science branches. So one may need to think about financial conditions and need to act fast to get seat in your preferred course.

Faculty

4

Faculty Student ratio is 1:10. So it's great that MITS hold good amount of faculty members. All the faculty members of my department are friends enough with all the students . Also I have seen the same thing mostly around the campus. Professionally, Mr. K. DurgaCharan and Dr. N. Komal kumar these are faculty members of my department who I like the most as they were mentors for my projects and guided through my way to success. There was a faculty in placement cell who wasn't kind to girls later we kicked him out with the help of principal so that implies that management is with the students. Regarding examination, MITS is an autonomous institution so the paper is of campus itself which is surely a benefit. From this year it's becoming a university which is also a good thing and we can see changes in examination patterns as well I believe. Courses offer relevant curriculum and with minimum preparation one can pass the subject without it they'll fail .

Night Life

2

College has a small gym which is accessible from 4pm to 7pm. Cafeteria gets closed after 5pm. Library is open till 7pm . In college hostel for boys its 9pm. There are not many nightlife activities outside the college. We can go for a walk have a cup of tea or snacks from outside . But there's a hill station named horsley hills which 15km away from college . Many students hangout there in weekends.
