Course Curriculum Overview

5

They are totally teaching about journalism and there is more practical than theoretical studies. The curriculum prepares us really well for the real world applications or further academic pursuits. They are quite accurate.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

The student start their internship after the third semester itself. And the college itself has a radio named as salaam namaste where we learn alot. The radio has won various national awards and the team consists of the students itself hence it is very helpful for our future.

Placement Experience

4

Student become eligible for campus placements after 5th semester. Companies like Aaj Tak, India TV, Zee news, etc visited. The highest package would be around 15lakh per annum whereas the average package would be around 4-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students getting placement is over 90% After getting the bachelor's degree I would pursue for the master's degree.

Campus Life

There are fresher's and farewell as annual festivals and other cultural competitions and programs keeps on taking place within the college. The range and accessibility of books and journals available in the library are quite good. The faculty brings specialist to give us special class on different topics to teach us more. The are many sports like cricket, football, basketball, taekwondo, boxing, etc and we participate in different competitions aswell. There are dance, singing, sports, radio, and various other clubs for students offered.

Admission

I applied to galgotias university, Amity University, Bennett University, IMS gaziabad, DY Patil International University Pune and IMS Noida. I chose IMS Noida over others because the college gives good exposure for students to learn and the fees is also quite relevant. No, I was accepted in all the other colleges I applied for. The addmission is merit based, you need to give an interview and entrance test. Then you can be directly get addmission to the college.

Faculty

5

The faculty to students ratio would be 30:70. The faculty is very helpful, kind and understanding. They are very approachable. Asha ma'am who teaches Hindi journalism is very helpful and understanding. Our HOD Dr. Sachin Batra sir, he tries to solve any problem facing by students as soon as possible. Other faculty like, Lalit sir, monu sir, akansha ma'am they all are also very helpful and understanding. There are external and internal exams twice every semester. Most of the students pass the exam and it is very relevant to the course curriculum.

Other Applied Colleges

DY Patil International University - [DYPIU] | Bachelor of Arts [BA] (Journalism and Mass Communication)

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester students become eligible for internship and jobs related to their courses. Department provides numerous opportunities and offers to students for enrolling in different internships and they help you get that. In bajmc I haven't seen any senior getting enrolled in a news channel yet but they do provide internship opportunities at other companies which may be alright. Most students get placed for internship somewhere or the other. My plans after getting the degree is to get back to news.
