What Students Say?
Likes
- The events are hugee and the campus as well. The students are fine and seniors are very helpful. The faculty also is very attentive and makes sure to help you out wherever you need them. The libraries in each block are very quiet and well maintained.
- The best part is they provide you mentors as well and really try to get you involved in different activities.
Dislikes
- The campus is so huge it's so hard to get from one place to another literally it stresses you out sm.
- The management is kinda bad and they make you run around the whole college to get even a small thing done.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is very very specific and the follow the new NEP strictly and give 60 percent on the basis of your internals, attendance, class assignments etc. Though this is not too hard to gain. They even host a week long orientation and make it easy to understand all the things related to the course during that time though the college related things you need to figure out on your own. The curriculum is actually really accurate and prepared you well for real world applications as they are very inclusive and help you find your way through things that trouble you. They can definitely try to add more classes as most days the classes end way before lunch and we have to stay in college till 5 pm, they should come up with a better time table and make it a bit easier for students to maintain attendance. Also teachers don't refer books till the very end and make the exam prep very stressful. The exams are only held twice, once in Jan(end term) and the mid term are held close to nov ig
Internships Opportunities
Cognizant, Flipkart, Oracle, TCS, Deloitte, Direct I, BYJU'S, Amazon, etc all provide placement and internship opportunities to the students. They should actively work on their CV, maintain a good cgpa and participate in clubs as all of this increases your chances for a better placement.
Placement Experience
The placement percentage is quite low for bba around 50-60. There are a lot of paid placements depending on your course, though most students just go for MBA after bba so the low placement percentage could be a cause of that. From 5-6th semester students become eligible for campus placements at SGT. The highest package here was 10LPA and the average is 5-6 LPA. I plan to do MBA after this.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
The yearly fee is 1.5-1.7L. They charge the transport fee according to the distance. Admission fee was 25k ig. They also provide scholarships based on 12th percentage(i think you need to have atleast 75 percent)
Campus Life
my overall experience here is quite pleasant. There are wayyy too many fests tho the most famous ones are synergy, diwali fest, Holi, janmastami etc. Synergy is the best technical fest here and there is a celebrity appearance every year during this fest, it's typically held in sept-oct. The libraries are very quiet and a great place to study, they have digital corners, reading rooms and the main library area(includes different sections like journals, reference books, course books etc), It is very accessible and has a good range of books. The classrooms have projectors, AC is provided only in few blocks(I've only seen it in A block). There are a lot of extracurricular activities going on all the time, students actively participate in sports and a lot of events are held for inter-uni competitions as well in the campus. A lot of clubs are there that students can take part in depending on hobbies.
Admission
i chose this college because of how lively and fun their events and fests and clubs are. Literally everyone does their own thing here and develop so many skills and build diff and new hobbies. I applied to other colleges through IPU-cet though I went for this because of the time constraints. I gave IPMAT this year as well though I didn't get selected due to my lack of preperation. The admission process here is quite simple for bba, you book your seat, appear for counselling and that's all, i don't think there is any eligibility for bba at all, not any exams.
Faculty
There is one mentor assigned to all students of one semester. The faculty to student ratio is kinda big though all of them are veryy helpful and approachable. They also make it so easy to understand these subjects and help you every step of the way. The best faculty I've seen till now is faculty of commerce and management, BCD blocks that are basically for science related fields are not half as good. Faculty of education is just as messy. There is a mid term and final exam for each semester and they're not that difficult, I'm not so sure about the fail to pass ratio but there are too many students that fail exams. The course curriculum is very well structured and quite relevant and simple to understand.
