Course Curriculum Overview
Nowhere in india the theory curriculum is enough for performing well in the professional scheme of things which exist in medicine, same happens here. Teaching methods are alike to those pan India i.e self study
Internships Opportunities
After the 4 years of literature everyone who passes the exams are bound to do a compulsory internship at the GB Pant hospital, Port Blair with a stipend of 30k/month. But the workload in certain departments remains the cornerstone when it's worthiness is on the table
Placement Experience
There is 1 year of compulsory service to the island chain with a considerably good salary but a lot of work load. After the 1 year of service most of the doctors opt for preparing for neet pg. Job scope pan India remains a concern due to extreme work loads and peanuts in the name of salary
Fees and Financial Aid
Facilities are average. Experience is overall good. Not much to explore. Just don't become kua ka mendhak staying at Port Blair. Pay is high compared to rest of India.Cutoffs are low and so is the experience. Choose wisely both the course and the place
Campus Life
Meraki is the college fest which happens annually. Good rollout great experience in culturals sports both. Rest of the festivities are also very satisfying in the way they are arranged. However college politics runs deep
Admission
I had a early intrest in medicine and got the seat in my first attempt at neet UG.Got carried away with the fake glamour of this course. The cutoff still remains a tough thing. Choose wisely because this course makes you go bald
Faculty
Faculties are overall good except if you develop some kinda grudge with them, you are doomed then. Exam systems are very fluid but really really tough to get through in the later years. The course if of 4+1year of theory followed by internship
