Course Curriculum Overview

4

I dicided to choose nursing after COVID pandemic when i lost my parents. The theoretical knowledge provides lots of information about human body , medicine, treatment, care etc. and practical knowledge help to increase the skills . Personally i feel the practical knowledge should be more focused rather than theory Every year board conduct yearly exam according to subjects and college conduct 3 internal exams within the year

Placement Experience

5

The college will conduct placement cell in final year. Where several HR team from several hospital will come for interview and students are provided with their own wish to attend interview of any hospital

Fees and Financial Aid

T john college of nursing provides 2 courses bsc nursing and gnm nursing which both has different fee structure. As a gnm student fres structure is 45000 every year ( tution fees) for practical we have to pay separate fees that is according to the hospital. Every year the college will charge student nurse association fees that is rs 1000 .. for board examination we need to pay exam fees as well as practical exam fees. For bsc nursing tution fees is 1.5 lakhs per year( tution fees) rest fees are same as mentioned above.. hostel fees is rs 1 lakh 10 thousand per year. Bsc nursing is 4 years course and gnm nursing is 3 years. The college is located in Bangalore, gottigere which has several other courses.

Campus Life

5

Their are several clubs like infrastructure committee, discipline committee, arrangements committee, purchase committee, secretary, etc which have their own role in programs..these clubs incharge or heads are students and are elected by students in election. The overall campus is very good with proper facilities like smart classes , labs , seminar halls , cafeteria, etc Other activities like cultural programmes, sports are conducted in college as well as college will send teams in competition in other colleges too.

Hostel Facilities

4

There are 2 hostel ( girls and boys) boys hostel is situated inside campus and girls hostel is situated outside the campus. There are 3 sharing or 4 sharing rooms. For hostel registration one need to register in reception and in hostel. About food. Food is provided 3 times breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks are also provided. The quality of food is good

Admission

I choose t john college of nursing to complete my course because of wonderful infrastructure and good teachers.. t john college is different from other colleges because it has daily classes and has a proper timetable. It has proper addmission facilities and has seperate department for every things. Other colleges are also good but they dont have that much rules and regulations and don't have proper reception, facilities, classes , etc After completing your 10 and 12 grade you can directly contact with the addmission department of tjohn college.

Faculty

4.5

There are 3 batches in gnm course and each batch has approximately 50 - 60 students and for each subject there are separate faculty member and in few subjects there are also 2 or 3 faculty to teach single subject. The relationship between faculty and students are good. Students can easily approach faculty member for any problem or issues they are facing.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The reason why I choose this field was because of my mother as she was a nurse as well and also I was thinking very hard about what to do after my school and right at that moment I got this opportunity so I thought let's not regret anything later. We had a lot of practical and theoretical discussions about everything soo I think it made us pretty confident about our skills and we were able to use everything in our internship too. As for the teaching methods I think the college or the institution can do better in hiring better or experienced candidates/teachers because the students need to learn and understand what the teacher is teaching .The exams would last for 3 hours in which we had to finish writing our exams, which was very hard because the answers were Soo long and we had to finish writing them in just 3 hours . Soo yes I think it was difficult but I have no regrets and I think I did great in my exams .
