Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I have chosen sociology honors with political science as my subsidiary subject. I chose sociology as I was very interested in studying society as a whole The exams are held annually though it has changed after the NEP 2020, and now we too have semester system having 2 exams in the year. The difficulty level is easy to moderate and one can score well if he/she studies properly 2-3 weeks prior to the exams.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fee doesn't not increase frequently and remains same throughout the years. The last modification was in 2023 which raised the fees from 4000 to 15000 annually. Nevertheless it's very minimal compared to other colleges. Scholarship is available for students belonging to weaker sections. The students apply for the scholarship online on the website and go through certain verifications and is refunded his whole tuition fee.

Campus Life

3.5

To be honest our college is quite inactive in cultural things. The only major fests are the freshers and the annual fest, which are held in the month of November and February. Some minimal events like the induction programmes by various departments, women's week etc are also held. The best part about the college is it's library. All the books ranging from a novel to an encyclopaedia to magazines and journals, is available. Even the library also offers e-library. The classrooms are well equipped with proper lights and fans and seating arrangement. Some of the pg classes even contain ac rooms and projectors.

Admission

The only eligibility criteria is that you should have passed your 10+12 from any recognised board. You have to apply either online through the mlsu.ac.in site or via offline form from the college office, and the application fees is only 100 rs for the form. The admission process is based on the 12th standard marks. A merit list is prepared on 12th marks basis. To secure a government seat the cut off generally goes to atleast 75 to 80%. Reservations can also be availed through proper documentation. Exams are held twice a year. Earlier the university had annual system but it changed after NEP 2020. The exams held are easy to moderate and can easily be passed by one week preperation. The admission process though very simple could have been made more convenient and efficient through online counselling rather than offline. The counseling is held offline unlike DU.

Faculty

Faculty is well read in their subjects and are extremely qualified. Almost every professor here has cracked some of the major competitive exams. They are very helpful and always interested in teaching. The faculty to students ratio including the guest faculty is around 120:1200

Course Curriculum Overview:

Chose BA Film & TV at Amity Jaipur because the mix of cinematography, editing, script and production felt aligned with film practice. Curriculum is decent for basics and portfolios, but could go deeper into indie/web work. Two exams a sem + internals; tough but fair if you stay consistent.

For Humanities it's compassion and because that has been my core, I chose this subject. There are various other specialization but I chose this and now since I have finished my course, I feel I did the best. One improvement I want is to get some assistance in finding jobs as that is one grey point or weak area about our college.

I have interest in arts from my primary class. It is very good subject also have a good opportunity in future as a teacher, social work and media.my passion for human culture and society also force me to select this course.yes this curriculum prepare me for a real world applications because it is related to case studies and intern. Student problem are solved with the help of practical in labs.it also help me to prepare for further academic pursuits it covers foundation and advance topics relate to high level studies. For improvement in course curriculum and teaching methods i should suggest regular update in technology and industry, make the topic clear learning ,give projects and case studies to students.teaching methods can be improved by group discussion, assignment ,use of proper teaching tools . According me semester exam are best for every student.semester exams will not give too much burden on Timming for each semester should be after 6 months.Difficulty level of exam should be wide.To check student thinking power and reasoning also a best topic to improve skills in students.
