Course Curriculum Overview :
My course curriculum covers the extension aspects of the fisheries field in which deals with the technology transfer and the informing the needs of the stakeholders for policy reforms and research advancements.
Internships Opportunities :
Kochi is a hub for fisheries institutes, our campus has collaborated with various fisheries institutes and organizations for intern research collaborations and various projects to promote the participation of the students.
Placement Experience :
Campus interviews are conducted by various aquaculture and allied firms. Placement programmes are offered by various banking firms. Average package for a graduate can be upto 2.5 LPA For a post Graduate it starts from 4.2 LPA.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The complete fee structure is given by the university under the recommendation of the government and the Indian Council of Agriculture and Research. Fellowships are provided for meritorious students who secure seats through ICAR entrance exams. The top two students from each class are also provided with scholarships. ICAR fellowships: 5000 per month. Top two meritorious students: 10000 per semester. Research fund: 25000.
Campus Life :
The environment is very easy to adapt to and socialize with everyone on the campus. Conferences and workshops are frequently organized by the university. A central library with an adequate number of hard copies and online access to a huge number of publications is provided to the students. Annual sports meets and inter-college sports meets and cultural programs were organized by the university. The Student Union on campus is the strength for the students which organizes regular club activities and programs on several occasions.
Admission :
The addmission is based on the score secured in the AIEEA PG conducted by ICAR and NTA. The eligibility is the graduation of a Bachelor of Fisheries Science from any accredited university. The total seats are divided into 10% for the entrance exam and 90% for the state quota.
Faculty :
The faculty members are sufficient for the number of students. They are like mentors for their students in their research and studies. The faculty members had exposure to various aspects of their specialization and had collaborated with wide opportunities beyond the campus. The interaction between the students and the faculty is very friendly and easy to approach.
