Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The curriculum of Bcom is great as it helps me to understand the financial concepts better but somewhere it lacks in giving the practical knowledge that is required for the real world. I would like to suggest some improvement in curriculum based on the current needs and to overcome the traditional method of teaching. The exams are moderate but still requires a great amount of knowledge to pass the exams

Internships Opportunities

2

Brainbytes-business development analyst with no stipend Aditya birla fashion- marketing, sales and operation. Unpaid Vbeyond- financial support Etc. Bcom along With MBA or HR Planning would be great

Placement Experience

3

The student become eligible for placement as he/she entered in the third year. Various companies visits for placement like HCL, Infosys, Tata Birla, Wipro, HDFC, Zomato, Swiggy, etc The placement package is around 3-4 lpa for a bcom student. 50% students get placement if there cgpa and attendance are good. My plan after getting the degree is to prepare for the competitive exam in the government sector

Fees and Financial Aid

Few structure is different based on the regular and self finance. Scholarship opportunities are available to the students once a year through UP scholarship program. The college also provide campus employment and various internship with or without stipend. There is placement department also that helps the student to prepare for the real job

Campus Life

3.5

NPGC somewhere lacks in conducting events which is a major disappointment but it organises Oaj festival, Alumni meet, and different fests conducted by different departments. The range of books is also limited to the extend of the curriculum and are not properly arranged. Sports activities are conducted on a huge scale as it focuses on the health of the students. There are various clubs like literary club, psychology, history, etc. Classrooms are properly ventilated and in some classes smart TVs are installed. The overall structure is good but still requires improvement like to expand the departments and ground area and proper cleaning of the washrooms and sanitary dispenser in girl washrooms

Admission

Admission at Npgc is based on scores obtained in entrance exams or marks secured in the qualifying examination followed by counselling conducted by the college. The application form is available on the website. NPGC does have any reservation system. The exams are conducted twice a year in the month of november-december and april-may. According to me the college must improve its teaching pattern by focusing more on the practical concepts

Course Curriculum Overview:

The core circular is moderately relevant but lens more forward theory than the practical application code, subject cover, fundamental concept and providing a base, but there is limited focus on industrial skill project work, coding or case studies which affect real world redness. Elective options are few restricting subject choice. The labour is mostly fake and really updated making it less aligned with the current industry. Trends exams are conducted twice a year medicine and M with internal contributing about 30% of the mark the frequency naval but timing of clashes with the critical session level is moderate theory tends to focus on road learning rather than the critical thinking. Overall the circular needs to more practical exposure, updated content and flexibility to prepare student for employment or higher studies.

Placement Experience:

From the 5th semester students become eligible for campus placement as after completing the sixth semester they can apply for the available vacancies. The companies which visited a college for placement are Flipkart Zomato Axis Bank etc. These companies gave many offers to the students to apply for the job, the best ones are selected. Highest package given to a student is 5lakhs Annual. To the student who had much quality 70% of students in the college get placements after they complete their studies. My plan after getting the degree is to apply for a job in a bank or to look for any government sector to work in.

Admission:

The admissions are purely based on merit. The eligibility criteria is a student must have passed INTERMEDIATE WITH 40% FOR GENERAL AND OBC, SC/ST -33% MARKS. There is no Interview and the total number of seats intake are 80. The admission process is quite straightforward and lucid. I chose B.com because it provides a broad scope of employment options and job scope for graduates as a large number of B.Com graduates choose to pursue self-employment or land lucrative salary packages in prestigious companies.

Starting off with the negative effects of attending college. Tuition has skyrocketed over the years leaving college students thousands of dollars in debt right out of high school, since many people cannot afford to fully pay their schooling off. Going in that much debt is a huge benefactor of people attending college because many people just cannot afford it.

A few negative effects are debt, partying, sexual assault, missing family and friends, and stress. Positive effects are he/she gets a degree, makes new friends, becomes more diverse, most likely gets a good job after graduating, and helps he/she to become more independent and grow as an individual.
