Course Curriculum Overview
This course is more of practical exposure as compared to other PGDM/ MBA courses. I personally felt I have learnt more about how actually a problem should be approached and what approach should be taken to soove it from a business point of view. This course has included many projects based submissions than theory papers. As of now I dont feel any improvement as such but industry visits can also me made a frequent activity so that more practical exposure is ensured. There is a trisemester pattern for the exams that is followed, it is a bit hectic but then you got to get along it.
Internships Opportunities
There are various companies that come for summer placements such as JP mogan, Morgan Stanley, Accenture, Havells, ICICI bank etc. The highest pay for summer internship is 75/80k per month and the avg payscale is 15k per month.
Placement Experience
from 4/5th semester the students are eligible to get placed. As the companies start visiting college the race for placement begins. There is hardly any company that visited and made no offer. They atleast take 1/2 candidates. The highest package is 24 LPA and average is 11.5-12 LPA. The profiles offered are according to various specialization such a marketing, finance, operations, HR etc. The college has 100% placement. All the students are placed. I would like yo work for 2/3 years and then start something of my own.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
To avail the TFWS your family income needs to be less than 8 LPA and also your score be the highest amongst those who have applied. The total cost of education goes upto 18-20 Lakhs for entire 2 years of period. From this 14 Lakh is the tution fees and remaining cover your living and food cost. Sunjevels is the company that provides scholarship for 1 student from this course whose family income is low and financial status is not very good. The sponsor the entire tution fees and also provide internship and final placement at their organisation to support the candidate.
Campus Life
This was the first year that fest took place. The name of the event was WEBizz. It included many technical as well as non technical events. The event took place in the month of march on dates 6 and 7. There is a wide variety and accessibility of books and journals available and can be accessed anytime anywhere from my loft website. All the classrooms have centralized A/C with projectors and good aound system, aerated along with plenty of sunsine flasing in for a fresh environment. Impact is one of the greatesr events that includes Cricket where various colleges compete to win. Also during the event WEBizz and Rambhoomi there were may sports such as football, Cricket, caroom, TT, Pool where students from various programs among the college participated and then finally the program with highest score won.
Admission
I was admitted through CMAT examination. The minimum cutoff to qualify was 80 but I had scored 97.5%. The admission process consisted of GD followed by PI, with moderate level of difficulty. The fee structure last year was 14,00,000 for two years but for the current year they have increased it to 15,50,000 for the entire 2 years. All the fee details, application form and dates are available on the official website. I have acalied no reservation benefits but if you think you have scored well you can opt for tution fee vaver scheme.
Interview Experience
I opted for a GD followed with a personal interview. The topic for my group discussion was what do you think are the reasons for happiness i diex of India being on the rank 7 below pakistan and other countries that are on top. We had a interactive GD but then it also went off tooic sometimes. My whole interview was kn my degree what I did, about the project what were my areas of interest. Why I want to do MBA ? Why after engineering? Except the cutoff of 80% in CMAT there are no other criteria for the admission process.
