Great education with campus placement

I think the TKWs Institute of banking and finance is overall a great college and they really focus on the quality of education over anything else. The campus is a bit small compared to MBA colleges but the education is much better and contemporary. I would recommend this college to my friends an juniors.

Banking Aptitude Test (BAT) - I scored 60% in BAT. I liked the fact that they focused on a specialisation, teachers were from the industry and they had great placements record.

This was the best part of TKWs Institute of Banking and Finance. All the subjects were relevant and important for one or other job specialisations in banking and finance. we had to make presentations and do research for most of the subjects which helped us in practical learning of the subject

I had enrolled in PG course which is a one year course and does not have any internship. The UG course, advanced diploma, has a 3 month internship. The college provides internships in BFSI segment directly. Most of the internships earn somewhere b/w Rs. 5 -12000 per month. They get you to make a daily report that you need to share with your mentor during the internship. so you can not do Jugaad internship here.

They were better then they promised. We were told that we will get placed and we will get maximum of 5 interviews for job. One of my friend gave 7 interviews and then got the job he wanted. Only banks and finance companies visit the campus for hiring.

I did enjoy my college life here and made some amazing friends. We also had lots of fun days and visits. We went to SIngapore for an ASEAN banking tour, leadership camp in nainital and the bankers meet was held in South Delhi. We also celebrated all major festivals at the college.

Fee structure is modest. I paid Rs. 2 lakh for the course but i think the fee now is Rs. 2.7 Lakhs for PG course. Fee is divided into 3 parts. Admission fee, term fee ( tuition fee) and caution deposit. This year ( a cousin of mine is applying for admissions) they have 5000 refundable deposit, 45000 admission fee and 75000 per term fee. This make a total fee of Rs. 2.75 lakhs.

They have great scholarships available. Tarun one of my friend was a topper in his college and he got a scholarship of Rs. 1 lakh. I did not qualify for them. There is loan facility available at the institute.

Campus life is fun. It is located 5 mins walk from Rajendra place metro station and CP is just 3 stations away. We used to hang out and watch movies in CP all the time. In our class of about 30 students there were 13 girls. In campus we had students from Delhi, UP, Punjab, Uttarakhand & Haryana.

I did not take the hostel from institute. They dont have a hostel of their own. Most of the students from outside take a flat on sharing basis and keep a maid. This costs around 7000 for rent, 1000 for housemaid and around 3000 for food. You can easily get hostels as well as institute has tie ups of thier own.

The college conducts an industry interface session every other weekend or so. Most of these sessions are taken by Senior level employees of banks and financial companies. But some of these sessions are taken by TKWs Alumni that are now working at mid-level positions in various banks and financial companies. These sessions are of great help and we get to learn how work life is totally different from college life.

they focus mostly on class assignments and projects. There are however exams at end of each term. PG has 3 terms of 4 months each. Classes are help from monday to friday 9 to 4. Saturdays are very busy with industry interfaces, VIVA, Mock interview etc.

I filled up a registration form online on the institutes website and got a payment link in my email. Paid registration fee online. Got sample papers in my email also. Prepared for the entrance exam. I took the Banking Aptitude Test online. Then there was a personal interview 3 days later at their patel nagar campus. I got the admission offer within 2 days. It was a smooth process. They asked from my basic documents and marksheets of 12th class.

Another great for TKWs Institute of Banking and Finance. They had teachers mostly from the banking industry and have the practical exposure to teach us what is important. I realized this in my first Job in HDFC Bank. I and another friend from TKWS joined along with 8 MBAs from various colleges. Our first week was induction. We already knew about most of the topics that were covered during the training whereas only 1 of the 8 MBAs knew what was being discussed. This made me really happy.
