Course Curriculum Overview
As a Bcom Graduate in Marketing specialization, I was focused on opting for MBA only. In the year 2022, It was the first time when The Bangalore Campus was going to start the MBA batch so it seemed an opportunity for me to opt for a new well, defined structured campus with fewer fees in comparison to the Hyderabad campus. The Faculty was very supportive and helped the students to learn the new curriculum. All the Faculty is almost at the Doctorate level so they all have the proper knowledge about the industry we all are looking for in our future career opportunities. The 2 Year Program is divided into a semester system where all the student has to give the end-term examination and need to clear the previous semester to opt for the next.
Internships Opportunities
The campus faculty invites various companies to hire interns in the college and more than 20 companies participate. There are many companies that do not offer a stipend to students. However, Most of them offer some amount of stipend to the students. The average stipend offered by the companies is mostly Rs. 10000 approximately. Various company also gives projects to the students so that they can get exposure in their interested industry. From my experience, Decathlon assigned me The LSP (Local Sports Project) which helps a person to start their own startups if they want in mere future.
Placement Experience
The Campus provides Placements for the students. However, Students need to qualify to clear the eligibility criteria. For that, he/she has to clear Sem 2 with a minimum CGPA of 5.5 and secure a C and above grade in their Summer Internship program. The placements are favorable for the Finance students as our campus welcomes the Big4 companies offering for the Tax background candidates for hire. However, different companies hire more students for Marketing, HR, and Analytics Job roles. The Highest offers made by the companies are Rs. 1200000 and the lowest Rs. 450000 approximately.
Fees and Financial Aid
Previously, the campus offered a PGP program. But my Batch, I started the MBA program under the Hyderabad campus. The fee in Hyderabad is Rs.1700000 without accommodations where The Bangalore campus charges Rs.1200000 without accommodations. For the Fee payment structure, They have multiple banks collaborating with low-cost EMI options. The Bangalore campus also offers internship opportunities after the end of SEM 2, and the stipend is expected to be Rs. 15000 approximately. The companies are mostly giving us corporate exposure and I worked with the Sports Retail company Decathlon.
Campus Life
Life at the Campus is so delightful and unique. The environment of full of greenery and the gardeners water the plant on alternative days. The campus has all types of playgrounds and all the students also use them to play and interact in nature. The campus consists of many types of Clubs which are coordinated by the students. The coordinators of each Club organize many interesting events for others and they also hosted the Fresher party Named Fresher's Eve where juniors get to make connections with the seniors and enjoy the event.
Admission
The Admission process was so precise and seamless that the 1st step consisted of an Admission Test named IBSAT. The Eligibility Criteria consist of a minimum of 85 percentile for the main campus. The application form consists of the basic eligibility criteria required for all MBA colleges. The application fee was almost Rs.85000, which is refundable if the candidate withdraws his/her admission. After getting selected for 4 out of 9 campuses, I directly applied for the Bangalore Campus I was allotted. The GD and PI went smoothly and were competitive among the candidates. After getting to the campus, it was tough for us to communicate with other students because students from PAN India have different languages. But maintaining good networking with them helps me to understand them in various ways.
Interview Experience
My Admission process consists of all the above checklists. The GD was held between 10 candidates, and the final selected candidates were only 4 and I was one of them. After the GD selection was done, the selected candidates waited for 30 mins for a break. Two professors took my interview that day and both of them asked me questions. The Interview questions are mostly related to my background, my short-term and long-term goals, and my communication skills. However, I opted for Competitive preparation courses which helped me out during my interview. The institute helped me with all the preparation for mock tests GD and Personal Interviews for different colleges.
