Remarks

During my time, the college was undergoing with so many things. Infrastructure wasn't ready, less faculty, less class rooms, and less labs which was a disaster for us. We suffered because of that and took us more years to settle down. But for future students its a sort of heaven, if we compare 2016/17 to 03/04 batches. Good infrastructure, labs, class rooms, faculty and libraries.

Entrance Preview

As a ordinary student, I was not upto the expectation to do engineer. After dropping one year initially I got into UPTECH Entrance 1900 ranks and was looking for an institute of learning new things and exploring myself. At first, they did not offer me free seat as the demand of the seats were so high in computer science that it made me look more weaker in front of others. I have heard about the college and its curriculum which guided me to take even the paid seat. And fortunately after first year, I was given a free seat and I almost paid negligible amount to complete 4 years in the institution. great feeling.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, it does. But one should be full fit and good in studies. Its not easy to work and study at the same time. Some companies like, HCL, TCS, HP, and Jubillan organosys, etc do provide different types of internships. During my time the stipend was anything between 3K - 6K but not the bar has increased, I ve heard people have got internships of 15K too from there.

Placement Experience

2

Its good as most of the companies like HCL, HP Jubillant organosys and other companies are coming to the Job fair in campus with a package of 2.5L - 5L per year which is good start for a fresher. During my time, it was very less and we did not have job fair organized with in campus. Now, the job fairs in the campus have starter with good start ups and big companies are coming to hire freshers. For my first intern which I got it in the last year and continued till I went out of India, I was getting 5K per month and slight increase of 2K after graduation.

College Events

4

During my time it was, Annual day function, 26 January, Tech fest, College fest, Sports day. Unlike, social gathering ones, tech fest was the biggest event of all. Lot innovation stalls and good participation by students during the fest. Annual day was more like a social gathering to participate in drama, dance etc. The one we liked most was the College fest. College fest was the chilling one, dance, DJ and different college visiting in the same ground, fashion shows. Right time for an engineering student to shuffle the nature of studies to recreation and fun with friends.

Fee Structure And Facilities

If you have got a free seat then its almost negligible or not more but paid seat is quite expensive. As per the government guidlines, they follow the fee structure. In 2003, paid seat per - 78000 approx (Including lab and all the library charges) free seat ranking - 16000 approx (Including lab and all the library charges) In 2016, Please check the latest with college.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

No. Theres nothing like that. Its a private college not much of an attraction to those who are looking for aids and scholarships.

Campus Life

3

I would smile on that as we hardly had girls in the class. It was I think 12:100 around that in the whole batch. 4:35 was our class ratio. Its not hard to understand which one would be 4. On Tech fests and college fests, it was 200 : 500, girl and boys ratio. Sport ratio was 10: 100. Labs 50 :100. There were only one competition, tech fest, which was related to innovative ideas by 3rd and final year students.

Hostel Facilities

3

In 2003, I wouldnt have rated hostel and mess, as it was pretty bad. Bad structure, mess food was unacceptable. All the rooms except the corner ones were small and accommodating 2 - 3 students. No library in the hostels, which makes it difficult for the students to study during exams in the hostels. Hostel was least 6kms away from the college. But now they have their own campus, which has hostel and college in one place. So good for new students. We used stay out of the hostel, 3 kms away in the rented apartment with 3 other college mates, paying 12K per month rent for 2 BHK. Later we shifted to the new place with seniors, in the rented apartment, bigger than previous one, 2 BHK in 16K. Places in noida are clean and provide good locality outside. Neighbors accept you as students and doesnt bother much. I am not very sure about PG rates but that PGs were like hostels, 2K a month, 2 in a room, easily available in Noida.

Alumni/Alumna

Many are in touch. Our group is still in touch and we meet regularly if we all visit to Delhi. we stayed with seniors in the last couple of semesters and had good relationships with them. Although, I lost touch with some of them but yes they do help in your studies and any sort of problems. You have to be open and mingle with them. A basic chat conversion can make them help you in many ways.

Exam Structure

Most of the exams happen within a tight schedule. And if you have previous papers to clear, it will be a nightmare. So if anyone do not want to take that stress, do pass and clear all the subjects in one shot. Theres only one basic rule, if you clear the subjects in one shot there are 50 - 50 chances that next semester examination wont be to hard. I believe first 2 years are most important because most of the students fails to bear the pressure. Examination in PCCS were not very chilled out, as most of them were focused on theory. Practical and programming labs are chilled out.

Admission

I went to Lucknow after the getting the rank where I opted for few colleges. I got this one in the list but the seat wasnt the free one. So opted that, took the required admission documents and submitted to the college in Noida. It was pretty easy as I remember. Its been a long time and lot of things changed after that. I have collected the admission form from Lucknow and one I filled it in PCCS noida college. But I think now you do not have to travel to Lucknow, the forms and admission process has become pretty easy and in the same city by showing your rank received in the entrance exam.

Faculty

3.5

It was neutral, during my time teacher were not so serious. Couple of them were not bothered about the course. They were just teaching for the sake of it. But some of them (As I remember correctly), like ED, Data structure, Computer programming, and all practical faculty were highly qualified. We missed to have good infrastructure as during 3rd year the college shifted to greater noida and under construction for 2 more years. So our final year labs were not so great, but if I compare the knowledge transfer during lab works with the actual lab structure, I'll give full marks to the faculty and assistants. Now, after so many years, they have changed all the things in the college. My last visit, shocked me to the core after seeing new infrastructure and meeting some new and old professors.

Remarks:

The infrastructure of our college is of top quality. Facilities like classrooms, Wi-Fi, labs, etc, available in our college are good. Facilities are easily available to students. The library is too good for anyone to sit and study for long hours. Teachers in our college are very helpful, and they are always available to help us. They plan the schedule in a very effective way. Many teachers are PhD holders. They have good knowledge of their subjects, both practical and theoretical. The course curriculum is relevant, and it mainly focuses on what industry demands.
