Course Curriculum Overview

The college has a good student-faculty ratio. And the faculties are experts in their respective fields. All faculties have atleast MSc or NPCC qualifications. We have 5 PhD faculties and 23 more are doing their PhD currently. The exams are moderately difficult and challenging.

Internships Opportunities

The attached SRM hospital offers mandatory internships in 3rd and 4th years. There are also other courses that we can take like the Global Health course with University West in Sweden that provides global exposure.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are what you would expect from a deemed university. For us, it is 75k per year. But now it has changed with the introduction of the semester system. There are scholarships available for those coming from poor economic backgrounds.

Campus Life

There are lots of fests conducted on the campus and they are spread throughout the year. There is a central library that has all the available books and it is a great place to study. Smart boards are available in all classrooms. There are many opportunities for sports and extracurricular activities like the ones hosted by Tamilmandram.

Admission

During our admission, it was marks based. Anyone with Bioscience in class 12 with more than 50% aggregate can apply. The application forms are available on the university website and there are minimal application fees only.

Honest review of my college experience

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the final semester. As the first batch, only a few companies have visited so far, with limited offers made. The highest and average packages are still developing and not clearly defined yet. Currently, the percentage of students getting placements is low, but it is expected to improve in the coming years. After completing the degree, I plan to pursue higher studies and build a career in my field.
