Remarks

Good remarks are that this is one good college which has very strong roots and its own culture. The students who passed out are working in brilliant companies. No bad remarks but the college must keep working to have more companies associated for better placement.

Entrance Preview

I cleared AICTE entrance examination and took admission in this college in May 2002 on merit basis. I don't remember the score but it was above average. I opted for this college because I didn't had much options to choose at that moment. However I had one thing in my mind that the college must be good as far as I interpreted from the brochure.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is designed by Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow from which the college is affiliated. The course was really comprehensive and designed in a manner that the interesting subjects were distributed equally throughout the curriculum.

Internships Opportunities

There was no internship facility during my tenure in college. I am sure the college has grown in all these years infrastructure wise and with more skilled staff so the internship must be there now with stipends matching industry standards.

Placement Experience

1

The placement cell was not much active during 2002 to 2006. There were only handful of companies who pitched in to hire students that too from IT streams but Electronics students like us had no guidance as far as placements were concerned. I am blogger in RG group of institutions portal and can see lot of improvement in placement cell with lot of student volunteers involved in placement cell portal development and updation. However, not sure if there are opportunities developed for Electronics, Electrical and Mechanical students.

College Events

4

There was annual fest in which all neighbouring colleges were invited. It was one big festival celebrations use to happen. Everyone use to be busy either in participating or volunteering to conduct events. There were plenty of events and students were encouraged to participate in higher numbers.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee complaint as per University directive so it was feasible to pay. I managed it very easily paying every semester and never found any student having difficulty in paying their dues. Yearly fee at that time was INR 40K plus hostel fee separate. The accomodation, transportation and food fee was also reasonable.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am not sure if they had any Scholarship at that time. They didn't had any tie ups with banks to give education loan to students with feasible interest rates. But I am sure the scholarship facility will be there now.

Campus Life

4.5

The gender ratio has been really good with atleast 49% girls in college. It was because if the culture college heads had cultivated that parents use to prefer this college. The better sex ratio also ment better mannerism within campus and diversity in every aspect of rules, code of conduct within campus.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The hostel was small but clean and well managed. I am sure now it must be expanded in accordance to current headcount. The food quality was not good during that time which was the main reason many dropped out to continue staying in hostel for next year. I am sure this has been taken care now as students must feel like at home to focus on their studies.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes all the alumni are in touch through college portal and social networking sites. They all are helpful in updating any new hiring in their companies and guiding juniors for any courses that they must do to give a boost to their career.

Exam Structure

The exams were distributed bi annually. The schedule was easy to manage and mostly all students took it without hassle. The labs were before the exams so we use to get inhand experience which resulted in creative answers and innovative thinking among the students.

Admission

Basis in my score in AICTE entrance examination, I attended the conference and I opted for this college for the admission. Then I took the allotment receipt to college to submit the advance admission fee. I got the admission confirmation note in return with joining schedule, 1st Semester syllabus, list of books to purchase And other college code of conduct, rule book etc.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty was experienced and knowledgeable. We had HOD who were teaching us main subjects such as physics and Mechanical Engineering which were really interesting. There was a faculty for the improvement of soft skills of students which I personally felt was district among other colleges. Our College principal were also very calm and high thinker which inspired all students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose BTech because I wanted to explore how real world works with technology and to know the insights of technology. The college mostly provides theoretical knowledge and not the practical knowledge refraining us from more exposure to real world problems. If the course is shifted from theoretical to practical it'll be really helpful. Two exams are conducted per semester, and the difficulty level is moderate.
