JNTUK Kakinada Review

I have written the ApEamcet exam and got into this college. The 12th score combined with a score in ApEamcet will give us a rank for admission. we can apply on the ApEamcet website for counseling. I got a rank of 4500 and that got me in the civil engineering branch. My caste is general but other caste candidates can get a better branch for the same rank. The admission process is quite simple after getting into college in the counseling process. We just have to go to the college allotted and provide the documents required. Overall the admission process is quite easier.

Every semester runs for a total of 4 months and every year there are 2 semesters. If the first years join in January they will complete their first year by August. The semester exams were held without leaving a day in between for preparation. Aside from that, some subjects like engineering drawing are to be focused on clearly to avoid non-passing of the subject. Overall we passed the exams with a good number in our class.

The internships will come from many companies and can be done either online or offline. Recently AICTE is offering a wide range of internships to the students of B.Tech. It is a very good program to provide that many internships to the students. Another internship recently came from intel which offered a stipend of 40k.

The on-campus placements will start after 3-1 semester. There are so many companies like TCS, L&T, intel, Infosys, Accenture, and other companies which hire from our college. During the year 2021 out of 650 students, 398 were placed. The highest package was 8 LPA and the average package was 5.5 LPA. I plan to do MTech after completion of my B.Tech degree.

I get the Andhra Pradesh government scholarship called Vidhyadeevena which offers a full fee reimbursement for applicable candidates. Additionally, if you are staying in a hostel you will get a vasathi deevena scholarship also. Some internships can get you a stipend of around 30-40k although you may not get some of them. The jobs are also hired for most of the candidates with an average of 3-4 lakhs per annum. The highest this year is 20 lakhs per annum.

There is a donation camp for blood donation called Sravani seva samiti formed by our seniors and regular activities are run in this organization. Also a rotract group is also run by students with each of them assigned with different positions.
