It is a very well maintained disciplined college because it is run very well by the management.during our time the principal of our college was Ms. Aruajo who ran the college with a lot of discipline. We had a fun filled 4 years of college life which was a rich learning experience which I miss till date.

It was direct admission after passing S.S.C exam in 1998. My cousin was already pursuing the course so even I thought of taking it up as I found all the subjects very interesting. There was an admission form to be collected before a specific date followed by submission of the same. Also the names of those short listed were displayed at a specific date. My name was in the first list itself. I secured my admission. On the day that I completed my formalities I was called for a short interview by the vice principal. And then started 4 years of usual college life.

1) Biochemistry2) clinical nutrition3) Food service management4) Community Nutrition5) physiology6) Human Nutrition. Therevare many more subjects which are taught in the first and second year of college like child development, introduction,communication, house economics, family planning, principles of design, food and nutrition, microbiology, Biochemistry, textile designing.

College internship is usually with hospitals, industry or gymnasiums. Stipend of 2000 Rs per month may be offered.it is usually for a period of 6 to 8 weeks. A report needs to be submitted at the end of the internship like there are few case studies which have to be done if you are doing internship in a hospital. Case studies on diabetes Mellitus, heart disease, liver disease, renal disease, pediatric cases need to be taken and followed up till the patient gets discharged from the hospital. A compiled report of the same needs to be submitted to the hospital as well as college at the end of the internship period. A case study needs to be presented in college.

Place ment is offered through the college placement cell. It is usually companies like health clinics, weight loss clinics approach the college and give placement to the students after interview.

We have annually college festival called Nirmal Utsav. Also an annual exhibition by the home science college Fashion design ing department is held annually.

Feasible. Depends on the course selected. Like fashion designing, textile designing is expensive than nutrition. It ranges from 15000 to 25000 depends on the course that you take up. The fee needs to be paid each semester. There are separate charges for lab and library. Penalty needs to be paid in terms of any apparatus that is broken during the use throughout the year. The fee is quite economical for the average middle class. it is not exorbitant like various other MBA and other courses.

Scholarship is offered to the needy and those who excel in their studies.there is lotus foundation who offer scholarship to the passed out students. Also we have many other private organizations and philanthropists who have offered scholarship to the students who have excelled in studies. There is lot of scope for students to avail of scholarship if you are good at your studies.

We had seminars on various topics like sexual orientation, there was no gender ratio because it was a female college. During my 4 years of college life there was no incident of intolerance with respect to gender, religion or race per say. The college has a very diverse group of students coming from different parts of the country who gel together in a very nice way. We have get together every 2 to 3 months in college which gives chance for the students of various cultural heritage come together and interact with each other.

No comments. Since I never utilised them. The hostel is located at a distance if less than.5 kilometer from the college. It is 7 floor building called college of social work which houses the hostel. It has a canteen on the ground floor. Both veg and non veg food is served at the hostel. It is maintained in a very good condition by the staff. One room is shared by two students

It is good. Alumni association have annuall reniuon for the ex students of the college.the alumni had recently arranged for a get together at Andheri for the ex students on 29 the no v from 6 pm onwards. It was very well organized and attended by a good number of ex students. We had a gala time during which we played games and we had all the different snacks which had been arranged for us.

We had labs and exams like first term, prelims and final exam. Labs exam was also accordingly held thrice a year.

Faculty was Good. We had three teachers for teaching 6 subjects in the final year. Two of the three faculty staff were PhD in nutrition. And all of them had a rich experience in teaching.
