Remarks
Actually, IPEM was my first choice of college after completing the 12th standard. It is affordable and the minimum marks criteria are very low (a mere 40 %). There are no minimum age criteria, making it one of the best local colleges even for middle-class people. The admission process was quite quick and straight to the point.
Course Curriculum Overview
Computer science was a very big deal back then. It was a growing industry and everyone wanted to take their share of the pie. I opted for BCA considering a bright future ahead. A whole batch of students was managed by just 2 faculty. So yes the faculty-to-student ratio was kind of bad. The faculty were experienced and trained in their respective subjects. Exams were taken once every six months to test students' knowledge, understanding, and clarity of the subjects. The exams were moderately difficult.
Internships Opportunities
Internships were provided for even undergraduate students, where students are to experience job conditions and the work they have to do in the near future. It usually lasts for a couple of months and students are not paid for all these.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
The cost to study was affordable and not too high. The fees hike was none, the fees were kept the same every semester. No Scholarship was provided to students even with fairly high marks. An internship was provided but no stipend was given to students.
Campus Life
The annual fest was held once a year by the school authorities. It happens on a large scale and a lot of people attend. All kinds of books and journals were available in the library. There is a sports ground as well where different kinds of sports are played.
