Remarks
I took admission to this college because I couldn't get admission in a good and reputed college of Delhi University with my 12th class percentage. I was only able to get admission to some of the low-ranked colleges of DU which I thought was not worth it and even quite far away from my place so commuting daily would also have been a problem. Then I came across Amity University, at first I was not quite sure and was not ready to take admitted to this college because of the overall reputation it had I mean we all know it, how people think it's only for rich kids and all. But after spending 2 years in this college I can tell you that it's true only to some extent, every college has a rich crowd tbh but trusts me if you find people like you, your circle, group of friends the 3 years of college feel like they pass by in a blink of an eye. I'm saying this as I'm attending my 3rd and final year through online mode and I can't even describe how bad I'm missing my college life. Ok now coming back to the topic speaking of what I like about my college which I think you all must be familiar with it has the amazing infrastructure, especially my block it was constructed recently and the famous H block which is a great place to enjoy with your squad along with the good food it has to offer and how can I forget Balli. Apart from the food and infrastructure I think the course pattern is also designed in a good manner I know there are a lot of subjects you will have to study each semester as compared to any college in DU but I think if u have a good understanding of the subject it's easy to score good marks. Last but not the least as to why I opted for this course I think B.com(H) is one of the best courses in the Commerce field as it gives good overall knowledge of the industry and its working as compared to BBA which is a specialized course if you only want to do MBA. So in the end I just want to say all the best to you guys who are going to take admissions in college and will be starting your college journey I know it's not probably the best start because of this coronavirus thing but I hope you make the right choice for yourself and as for me I would say that I never said Amity University was my first choice but it sure turned out to be the best and the most wonderful time of my life with beautiful and bittersweet memories and experiences.
Course Curriculum Overview
As I said earlier I feel that the course structure is designed very nicely, there is not much pressure if you plan and study well. The subjects though there are many are planned and taught in such a manner that you got proper industry knowledge and skills. One really fascinating subject which I liked in my curriculum was Behavioural science which I don't think other colleges offer. Students think of it as an unnecessary subject but personally, I think it's a very unique subject kind of like psychology it teaches you life skills that no other subject can. As for the faculties in my department apart from some of the faculties, others are really good at their job and gave a good knowledge of their subject.
Internships Opportunities
Since this year's internship was difficult my college organized it in the form of a Summer Internship Program where we were assigned to a particular company and had to prepare an extensive report on it.
Placement Experience
As I have currently just started my 5th semester I cannot comment on this one but as far as I know, quite a lot of good companies visited the campus for placement purposes and the staff at my department ensures a smooth process for placement interviews.
College Events
Amity has its own annual cultural fest known as the Amity Youth Fest(AYF) which I never had the chance of attending as it got canceled because of some the other reasons but I have heard it is a 3-day program filled with various workshops, competitions and the 3rd day is famous as the celebrity night. Apart from AYF which is organized at the University level various other competitions and events are organized at the department level also.
Campus Life
Do I need to say anything here, I don't think so. The infrastructure here is wonderful and you should try to get the best out of it. For people who love sports, you will love the huge ground here and you should definitely try to participate in SANGATHAN which is the annual sports event of the University. Apart from this the library here is huge, you could probably get lost in it, not just kidding but it's really beautiful and you could probably find any book here you would ever need.
