It is a deemed to be university. It was established in 1961 and is affiliated to UGC, ICAR. Dr Gopal krishna is the current vice chancellor. Campus is located in an urban area. It imparts proficient training and education to fishery professionals.
Course Curriculum Overview
M.F.sc. and phd. in fisheries resource management, aquaculture, fish biotechnology, fish nutrition and feed technology, fisheries extension, aquatic environment management, fish genetics, fish economics, aquatic health etc.
Placement Experience
There is a training and placement cell. There are a lot of opprtunities provided by college to students. There are also internships. Many companies come and recruit the students. The placement cell organizes programmes so that students can enhance their skills.
Fee Structure And Facilities
M fsc fee is about 17000 rupees per annum course duration is of 2 years. Phd fee is about 15000 per annum course duration is of 3 years. The fee is quite feasible. Admission happens in the month of june or july.
Campus Life
Various days like yoga day, teacher's day, youth day are celebrated every year. Various events, debates, quizzes are held throughout the year. The gender ratio of the college is well balanced. The college organizes various sports tournaments every year.

I got admission in this college on the basis of entrance exam score and undergraduate marks. The admission process is smooth. Most of the steps are done online. You have to show your ug marksheet to complete the admission process.
Faculty
The faculty members are cooperative and helpful. They are well qualified and experienced in their respective fields. They help the students to prepare for projects, seminars, workshops. They give proper training to the students.
