Remarks

The Cochin College is a regular college in Kochi that provides good quality education to the students. This college is located in my home city. There are a good number of courses available and good faculty to train the students. Comparitively, opting this college was a best option available for me.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Bca Course curriculum includes some practical application of the concepts covered. We have lab exams that will be counted with the end semester marks. The only negative aspect in the curriculum is that the college doesnot offer any interships during the course that makes the students industry based knowledge weak. Faculty of the college are friendly and supportive.

Placement Experience

2

College doesnot offer any placement options to the final year students. The only option available is the jobfairs conducted in the college during the year by some private companies. This is something that the college authorities should work on, they should strive to get placement drives to help the students.

College Events

4

Campus life is very nice. The Union Day (inaugration of the college student union) is the biggest event held in the college, it gives many opportunities for students to showcase their talents on stage. Campus has a canteen and a ground which is not properly maintained. College also permits students to participate in Mg University youth festival for some events like Oppana, Dufmutt etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum that we are currently doing have no scope to future because of old generation course like c,c++. It's out dated programing language. Computer in the college are not working properly. Program and language exams are way to tough.academic preperation are very weak and they consider this as silly exam and don't react according to it

Placement Experience:

As of my course,The students will start to get interviews after the 6th semester. There are my companies who offer placements. From what I heard, the highest someone has got as a fresher is 17 lakh per annum. The average is about 8 lakh per annum. The faculty here say that the placement percentage is 100% but I don't think it's true. There are still students back from 2019 still writing backlogs. So I don't think its a 100% but it is still good.So my plans after getting the degree is getting into the placements because that is one of the reason i chose this college

If you are looking to get skilled in programming field please chose other colleges this is not for you, you'll get nothing out of this course, but if you allready know things and want a degree and want enjoy college life it's for you. The curriculum is very old and very basic, they'll teach you almost every programming language but everything is bare basic.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because it is a job oriented course. This course is more of theory than practicals. Being a computer science student in 12th theory is more difficult for me. Teaching can be improved by teaching which points should be studied and how we should write exams
