Course Curriculum Overview

The course is highly focused on research in the field of architecture. The curriculum aims to provide advanced knowledge in the respective arena. The exams are application based and test the critical thinking ability to students.

Placement Experience

The placement and job opportunities in this field are enormous. The jobs are available in both government and private with high salary packages. The college provides on-campus recruitment facilities. The college also provides placement training for the screening process.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The course is of two year duration and the fee structure is as follows: Tuition fee- First year 1,00,000 Second year 1,00,000 Thus the total fee for the entire programme is Rs 2,00,000 which is quite expensive.

Campus Life

The college organise many seminars and week long workshops on various topics to provide exposure to the students. Many industrial visits are also organised to provide first hand experience to the students.

Admission

The requirement for the programme include graduation degree in architecture. Online admission form should be filled and submitted attached with necessary documents. On the basis of scores obtained in the entrance exam admission will be granted.

Faculty

With high educational qualification and many years of experience in professional and teaching field the teachers give more emphasis to student response time in the classroom and teach in very lucid manner. They are very supportive and helpful.

MGR university can be considered for pg studies in architecture

Course Curriculum Overview:

A Master's in architecture with a specialization in construction project management is available only at MGR University in the state of Tamilnadu and my interest in studying project management leads me here. Had a strong faculty and students, masters courses do only have 20 seats and all the seats have been filled. Most of the faculties teaching for M.arch have either doctorates or have rich experience in the field of architecture as well as in the field of education. Cat exams were there in the gap of 1 month and can pass the exams easily.

Admission:

Admission to the M. Arch program was on the basis of the TANCET exam, conducted by the authorities of Tamil Nadu state. I got a call for the counselling process, and after the verification of documents I was granted admission.

Its a very interesting course

Remarks:

The Excel college is approved by the council of architecture. I have pursued my Masters in Architecture from the college. From academic purpose it’s a good college, not so good in terms of placement and campus life.
