Remarks
Bering a government institution, it has pros and cons. The process is somewhat cumbersome and management is quite democratic. Bering situated in Patna, it has less industrial exposure. But overall, it has good and helping faculties with quality education and placement is also good when compared to private colleges.
Course Curriculum Overview
We have a well-prepared course curriculum in which we have 5 to 4 lectures (5 from Monday to Thursday and 4 on Friday and Saturday) per day. It is well designed to provide industry knowledge and practices. The examination is taken strictly and well on time. 30 % marks account internal assessment. The companies have their own specific recruitment process, generally, it is the GD/PI or objective type (MCQ) examination. Some of the Companies are ITC, Amazon, Reliance, Amul, Airtel, Prism Cement, HDFC, Federal Bank, JEEVIKA. Honestly speaking 75 to 80% of students are placed. The maximum placement touched this year was 10 lakhs and average ranges for 4 to 5 lakhs per annum.

There are regular seminars and workshops organized in the institute's auditorium which helps in grooming students' personalities and professionalism. Annual day cum Lalit Jayanti is celebrated which year on 2 February which is attended by eminent figures of Bihar including CM and ministers. Orphanages are visited on Diwali. The total fees for MBA are 1,60,000 for general and OBC students and 80,000 for SC/ST. The fees are submitted by challan in the institute's bank situated on the campus itself or it may be submitted by internet banking. The fee is taken in 3 installments of which the first installment has to be submitted at the time of admission. The 3 installment for general and OBC are 90,000 + 35,000 + 35,000 and for SC/ST is 45,000 + 17,500 + 17,500. A development charge of 10,000 is also taken per year. Being a government institution, the college has full transparency in the fees-breakdown.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have taken Bihar Student Credit Card loan which covered the whole of the institute's fees also provided me the amount for laptop (35,000), books(10,000 per year) and livelihood (92,000). All student matriculated from Bihar is eligible for this loan and the process is that you have to online or offline apply for BSCC and then have to physically verify at DRCC office which is located around the institute itself (around 2 km). Bonafide Certificate will be given by colleges that are required for verification.
Campus Life
The institute has quite a friendly campus life with a nearly equal ration of boys and girls. Culture society is also active which organizes events like the annual day. With an IAS as the director and BAS (Bihar Associative Service), the administration and environment are quite good for students. Strict action is taken on any unacceptable behavior. The institutes have a well-maintained library and computer labs. Common rooms for boys and girls are also there. Debates and discussions are part of the curriculum.
Alumni/Alumna
With more than 50 years of existence, LNMI has an enriched network of Alumni all around the globe. They are organized into an association as "LNMI ALUMNI ASSOCIATION" (LAAP) which quite active and helpful to students. LAAP keeps on organizing meets and events in which current students are active.
Admission
I opted for an MBA because this will open the gate and qualify me for a variety of job opportunities. Nowadays nearly all organization has scope for MBA graduate. Where other private colleges have average fees from 6 to 8 lakhs, LNMI does it for 1 lakh 60 thousand with better qualities of education and placements. ROI is better than most of the colleges. These factors led me to choose this institution. Steps for admission are quite simple, you first need to fill the online application form from the website and then you will be shortlisted for GD/PI based on your MAT score. The GD/PI covers 20% weightage and MAT's score's 80% (800 marks for MAT and 100 for GD and 100 for PI)and the Merit list is prepared purely on merit without any other consideration.
Faculty
We have around 85 lecturers, each subject has 3-4 faculties and most of them are Ph.D. or NET qualified. The average age of faculties is from 35 to 45 years. Faculties are also having a practical and working experience which they share among students. The lectures are worth attending.
