Remarks
There are a lot of positive things such as affordable fee structure, few good faculties and good amount of extracurricular activities, for negatives there are a few such as not all teachers are good enough, not many clubs or society, and average placement. The college has a high no. of students which provide good competition but sometimes feels crowded.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum seems little bit out dated but effective, There is a semester system with 2 semester in a year and in each semester there are two CIA exams (Continuous Internal Assessment) are held, there are practical exams held too.
Placement Experience
The placement scenario is between average and above average, the college does not provide internship or stipend to the best of my knowledge. Although students independently pursue internships on their own and the teachers are supportive to them.
College Events
There are a few major events, sports meet, fresher's party, Workshops and seminars are held regularly, exhibitions for Earth day and other events are also held, Apart from these the college students actively participate in inter college competitions and events.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is feasible with fees ranging from 18-25000 for bachelor courses which is to even ¼ of what other colleges charge. The college has a legacy of 100 years and since the beginning the fees are kept low and education standards are kept high.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college provides scholarships to meritorious students, there are various other scholarships for economically weaker students, their information is updated on websites and college notice boards from time to time, I come from a well off family so I haven't availed any scholarships
Campus Life
There are a good amount of extracurricular activities, there is sports ground and an indoor sport stadium, there are labs and seminar halls, I don't recall any major clubs though, sports meet are held time to time and students can play sports after college in the ground.
Hostel Facilities
There is no hostel facility provided by college, but the college is situated in prominent locations with lots of PGs and hostel in close proximity and is easily accessible by buses. The infrastructure of college is good.
Alumni/Alumna
Subodh college is one of the oldest college with a legacy of 100+ years, the Alumni association is strong, with many of the people in Jaipur itself and neighboring major cities, Seniors are helpful and supportive. There are students who are currently playing sports on national level such as Kamlesh Nagarkoti in cricket.
Admission
They take admission on the basis of merit lists of class 12th marks, first of all you fill in the admission form with all the details and choose your desired course and along with it attach your class 10th and 12th marksheet, after a week or so merit lists are released for courses separately.
Faculty
The faculty and staff are well qualified but sometimes feel as if they lack motivation, although some teachers are really good and hard-working. There is a huge pool of faculties from various fields, they keep themselves open to students most of the time.
