Course Curriculum Overview
A qualified pharmacist has a brilliant career shine in several areas, such as manufacture of bulk drugs, formulation of synthetic, biotechnology natural, cosmetic and other allied products. A few opportunities are -Production Supervisor, Analyst in Pharmaceutical Companies,Drug Inspector, Government Analyst, Pharmaceutical Marketing, Hospital Administrator, Teaching Faculty,Clinical Pharmacist, Community Pharmacist and Hospital Pharmacist. This course is for four years, having 8 semesters.
Placement Experience
The college doesn't provide placements or job opportunities. But this is a professional course and it is very scoring at the same time. So students are requested to study their best to keep their score high. So that they can either apply for higher studies or be recruited by reputed large companies.
College Events
Important seminars and events related to education takes place in the auditorium. Then Fresher's day and farewell day is celebrated with lots of enthusiasm. And then there is sports day. Other than these, various festivals and Republic day is celebrated.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees structure is nearly about 50k to 1lakh more or less, approximately speaking which is expensive for most of the parents. But keeping in mind, the opportunities they provide and the highly qualified teachers, the fees is justified. MA students have a different fees.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is no scholarship or loan facility that the college provides. As for my education, my parents didn't avail for any loan or scholarship facility. Still if for someone, the course fees is high, he/she can avail for an educational loan by going to their respective banks with the permission of the Principal through his signature.
Campus Life
A spacious, well ventilated and illuminated hall with seating arrangement for 50 members makes the library of the college. Physical Education Department is manned by a very qualified and talented physical Director. The annual Sports meet is organized and a total of 500 students participates in the sports. J.B.I.E.T has a health center that could provide all the necessary first-aid and medical kits along with the necessary guidance from a medical assistant. Three canteens are located within the campus to cater to faculty, staff and students at subsidized rates.The Institute has already had an extension counter / sub-branch of Syndicate Bank at its campus to cater to the banking needs of the students, the staff and the institutional needs of J.B. and also a branch Post-office has been started in JBIET campus JBES also provides transport facility from nook and corner of the city to all it's institutes.
Hostel Facilities
No, I haven't applied for the hostel facility as my home is very near to my college. As per the information gained, the college provides hostel facilities for boys and girls separately. Also with that, the college cot,Mattress,Almairah,Table, Chair,Mineral Water, Library and internet facilities upto 7pm on weekdays, free medical check-ups and diagnostic checks. Safe and secure environment conductive for studying and ragging free environment.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network is very strong and wide including the best teachers that a college can provide for this course, who are very helpful and supportive. Also, the seniors are very helpful and friendly. Provided, that the juniors have to cooperate with them as well at the same time.
Admission
For first year admission - A pass at the Intermediate Examination of Andhra Pradesh State Intermediate Board with Physics Chemistry and Mathematics / Biology or equivalent and Qualifying at the Entrance Examination (EAMCET) conducted by the Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education is required. For Second year (Lateral Admission), A pass at D. Pharmacy course (ER-91) with I class and Qualifying at the Entrance Examination (E-CET) conducted by Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education is required.
Faculty
Dr.A. Srinivasa Rao is the Principal of this college who has completed his Masters and Ph.D and is in the Department of Pharmacy practice. Dr.A.V.Kishore Babu, Sabita Sahoo, Dr.Ayesha Kouser are more of the teachers in this practice, who tends to work for the upliftment of the students.
